Hahah I know. Already got the disc. Was hoping it got a PS5 upgrade.

LOL.. dudes, My controller's R2 trigger went kaput.

Had to buy a new controller and even on the new one, the trigger already feels a little loose. :'(

f**k!! I'm scared that's gonna happen to me also.

These settings solved everything for me: FoV - 110 and look smoothing - 0

Eternal is sooooooo good man! I feel that there is much more immersion and feeling of 'flow' than 2016. I just finished Level 2 on Nightmare difficulty and it's a blast - full-on adrenaline rush! Their game-play design is a marvel.

I feel that 2016 is quite simple and focused compared Eternal, which has much more complexity and every aspect is dialed up to 11. And the sound design is siiiiick!

Definitely. There is a lot more going on with Eternal. The game has no fking chill. And once you understand - and appreciate it, it's an amazing experience.

Why does Eternal feel so clunky compared to 2016? emoji53.png

In Eternal, it feels as if I am moving much slowly and seems like the gun is moving through a thick sludge. Stupid imps are getting better of me. In 2016, I could nail imps with ease

I felt the same thing initially, but as I leveled the Slayer up, it felt much better. In fact going back to Doom after Eternal made that game feel slow.

So played around 2.5 hours yesterday, had to break as it was getting late, but what I played was good.  Set to the highest settings (ultra high), and on average I was getting around 100 FPS at 1080p as per the in-game stats.

Here're some initial impressions, do note that I haven't played odyssey, so I'm mostly comparing it to AC:Origins :

    - The game is pretty, the draw distances are breathtaking.  The snow clad setting in Norway seems far more beautiful than compared to the arid deserts of the previous games.  The hills, water, everything seems to be better modeled compared to the previous games.  There're not much options to fiddle around with in-game graphics menu though.  Also, I could not find any option for RT in the in-game menu options, assuming the game doesn't support it.

    - The premise is much more interesting compared to AC:Origins, and the character Evior actually feel more etched out, as compared to bayek, who mostly felt like a walking/talking cardboard cutout most of the time.

    - The combat is revamped, kinda similar to dark souls now - with parry / stamina thrown in apart from the regular light/heavy/dodge as seen in previous games.

    - The skill trees are also vastly improved, with each sub-tree having its own specialization (ex: a special move) and leading to more sub-trees upon completing all the nodes in them.  There are additional abilities which gives more moves to Evior, which get unlocked via some artifacts found by in-game exploration.  I guess these are restrictive and might need some counter to fill up etc., tried it only once though.

    - The main character can choose from an array of dialogues unlike the previous ones where cut-scenes where mostly non-interactive.

Overall, I feel this game feels more closer to a proper RPG , compared to the previous games which were mostly open world action/adventure , where the RPG elements felt like an afterthought.

Its too soon to tell, but I'm liking the game so far.  Also,  I've been ignoring the side quests and focusing on the main quest so that more of the game map is available to play.  Will post more impressions once I've played more and completed some major plot points.

My biggest issue with the dialogues is that sure, there are options here, but none of them really affect anything. It's like no one gives a sh*t about what you have to say.

Division 2 also got battle pass? Every game got battle pass now lol.

Yeah it's been there for a while... and it's pretty easy to max out compared to say COD or Destiny 2.

Battle pass is good if done the MW way. I play cod like fish drink water. Didn’t spend a single paisa paying for any seasons. As long you earn in game currency which can then be used to buy the next pass.

Red Dead Online had that too. Really appreciate it when games do that.

Nash went hard on the game and ripped it apart lol.  Unity level of Bugs? Yikes.

I was already losing interest and now after listening to you guys, i lost all interest. Im gonna wait till its on sale and gets all upgrades.

CDPR did lot of shady sh*t. They not good guys studios anymore.

Sorry man. Didn't mean to f**k your hype up, but was pretty disappointed with the stuff CDP has pulled so far.

The hate and frustration is real but can’t help it and just wait for things to get fixed.. but reality is both are not enjoying the game and it’s not what everyone expected

I think that there is a good game in there. Definitely needs more time in the oven.

I sent a Clan request from the App to "IVG Crew" but still pending? I see myself playing destiny 2 for a while and joining a clan helps (both?) i suppose in gaining XP. @nash. Could you please help approve as i see you as admin. I play on PS4 though

Also, I was NOT ready for the recent Solstice of Heroes event :|. Got a jump from 930 level to 1017 level in one sitting thanks to the free new Armour set which are of level 1020.

Also reaching > 1000 level has unlocked lot more quests, weekly challenges etc and now my Director is cluttered!!

Wanted to finish Campaign missions (which have become way too easy due to power level) first and then onto Quests for getting Exotics but always keep getting distracted.

Now, with the new weekly event, that requires some tasks to get the "glows"? Seems a good distraction though.

The amount of content on F2P for this game is ridiculous. I was thinking that this was a full game that we got in PS+ long back but this content seems this content is all part of F2P. With Legacy worlds, campaigns leaving in November , now is a good time to invest in this game.

    Few Questions:

    (1) Regarding the expansions, I only see upgrade edition having Shadowkeep and Forsaken.? Is there any edition that will contain Beyond Light + Shadow Keep + Forsaken?  or can i expect that to be made available in near future. If not, i will track the upgrade edition and try to grab it in a sale after a month or two. (Hoping they both are worth it?)

    (2) I see the upgrade edition also says it would include ongoing season pass.  In Destiny Season pass, do we get option to earn some items for getting the next season pass (like apex legends for example) . Or All season passes independent?

If season pass in general contains very good loot, then it makes sense to get the upgrade edition sooner since we still have 90 days left for this season. (Is it doable?)

Sure man. Sorry I haven't been playing Destiny for a while @Tyler can you help him out dude?

  9. Played the game for a good few hours and I'm in love with the atmosphere. It's like a f**king painting come to life. I don't think I've taken these many screenshots in like an hour ever.

That being said, I do see the "feels like a game" point after TLOU2, but thankfully, it's not a deal breaker for me. I faced a few bugs in my playthrough as well, but no game breaking stuff so far.

As far as AI goes, I feel it's par for the course like in most open world games. TLOU 2 was not really an open wold game, so expecting that kinda AI in a game of this scope is nuts. I just don't like how much the AI companion keeps sticking to you. Like gimme some space bro.

  10. Once you get done with the campaign, Destiny 2 is like the perfect chilled out game. Put on some music, and hop on for a bit to shoot sh*t. I play it regularly between work for ten minute bursts.

  11. I'm super f**king pumped for this game. Gameplay looks tight and the RPG elements look surprisingly deep.

I have full faith in the devs. Loved Painkiller and Bulletstorm.

Still a garbage game. Even F2P games are better.

And removing AI just to add it later. Total disaster this game has been.

Damn that's harsh. It's not as good as Wildlands, but I did enjoy the game. Should have been more polished, and should have shipped without the stupid Gear Score to begin with.

I thought this is also tactical shooter like the earlier ones, but they have f**king terminator drones in this lmao

That's just one mission. Rest of the game is quite tactical. In fact I had fun role playing as Sam Fisher.

Is it too late to start playing and enjoying this game , provided I will be starting at low level? (PS4).

Also should we play single player first and then Multiplayer opens up ? Does it have a proper story in single player mode or we also have players dropping in single player story?

It's never too late to start playing. There are a lot of beginner guides out there that should help you.

I would advise going through the story. There is a proper campaign, and if you have someone to play with, it's am absolute blast.
