    Never seen it till now. What is it about? FF on and kill-cams off and other such tweaks?

     

    Btw, last night was a disaster. Till yesterday, I was not earning any XP at all even though I was getting a good number of kills.

     

    Yesterday night, I started getting the XP but then the game began to crash at random intervals. Very, very irritating. Plus, the "Play Now" option also stopped working.

     

    Yo. You got a mic hooked up for the PC?

    Anyone else feel like the snipers are overpowered? Maybe its just the map thats conducive to them but I swear every game I play about 80-90% of the time I am killed by a sniper. They are EVERYWHERE and everyone seems to pick the sniper class.

     

    This is the same thing I felt in the PS3 beta as well. Plus I really can't stand the excessive weapon bobbing in this game.

    The beta so far is fkin a*s. I had to stop playing after half an hour cos I was getting a fkin migrane. WTF happened to DICE? BF 2142 was ace and this feels like unpolished turd. The game looks terrible. Gun play is ghand and shoving vehicles down my throat doesn't make the game experience intense; it just dilutes it. What chance does a foot soldier have?

     

    And seriously why for the love of god doesn't this c*nt franchise get a red dot sight?

     

    OK so Sam tells me that you do get the red dot sight after 100 kills but still..

    Its not impossible. Its just that you need to be almost inch perfect in your getaway. Sorta like doing a Super Mario speed run.

     

    The worst part was that once I lost my ride I tried hijacking another one but Niko did his whole lengthy car jacking animation and that's what got me killed.

    I made a couple of posts about it a week or so back when you mentioned it being your new bogey mission LOL! nash did too! :rolleyes:

     

    There's a boat sitting right outside the building! Head straight to the water and paddle straight for it. DO NOT make your getaway by car!

     

    Yeah man. Taking the car was the worst decision ever. But I made it. I went past the impossible into the possimpable.

    But that wasn't why I brought it up. You made it sound like PC gaming is this huge market where everyone except a few haters have these top of the line supercomputers that can run Crysis 2 on Extra high detail.

     

    And I proceeded to point out why that isn't the case and how the PC as a gaming platform is slowly becoming an afterthought. Ref: Id and IW.

     

    Umm no. All I said is that just cos people don't have a gaming rig and they prefer playing the game on a 360 doesn't make it a 360 exclusive.

     

    Also PC gaming has been fkin over-exaggerated to no end. For starters every game is not a Crysis so you really don't need bleeding edge technology in your rig unless you're an enthusiast or extremely rich. In today's day and age a little research and knowledge will get you a decent gaming rig for under 40k (or even less cos I'm not too updated with hardware prices). Games like GTA IV are unoptimized turds so don't even consider that sh*t. Other games are surprisingly well ported case in point - RFG, B:AA and RE5 making the PC ports a visually superior and a cheaper alternative.

     

    But yes PC gaming is becoming an afterthought sadly. And that too by companies who first tasted success on that very same platform. Ungrateful motherfks.

    Mass Effect 2 looks a lot better on the 360 though, so it isn't like the system can't handle it. And I have a sneaky suspicion that its more than a few thousands who don't have a good enough gaming rig (or the patience to install, configure and troublesoot) :P

     

    Besides, having a gaming rig capable of playing *current* games doesn't mean the games played have been meaningfully monetised. I didn't want to bring up 'ol Jack Sparrow again, but devs and publishers optimise games for NOT the biggest market, but the most profitable market. Just look at IW. Expect that trend to continue until the gaming industry consolidates into a single universal platform (like with music and home video) which covers both on and off desk gaming. It most likely will happen.

     

    Bottom line: From a business perspective, they may as well be exclusive to consoles because the margins are way too low on PC to be long term sustainable. You'll be singing a different tune in a few years, I guarantee you that :nono:

     

    I get all of that but that still does not make the game a FKIN 360 EXCLUSIVE!@!!!!!

    The way i see , if it is on the XBOX 360 & PC and not on the PS3 , then the XBOX360 is the "only console" it can be played on. For a guy who has to choose between either of the consoles this matters a lot. There are many poeple who dont have high end rigs and chipsets, those people wont even consider the PC for gaming. For that reason the XBOX 360 is the only CONSOLE which has MASS EFFECT2 , LEFT4DEAD2 and Splinter Cell Conviction. If these cannot be listed as exclusives then the 360 isnt getting credit where it deserves.

    I THINK NOT!!! . PS3 has GOD OF WAR 3, Heavy Rain and GT5 . these are the "only" good exclusivess i can think of. But how do those stack up against

     

    MASS EFFECT2 (once again 360 is the console it can be played on)

    The way i see it, the 360 is going to own the PS3 next year as far as exclusives are concerned. Especially when there is a new HALO game coming out next year. you may not like HALO but there are a whole lot of people out there who love HALO and are huge fans of the series (incl myself :dance: ) and that game always has huge sales in the first day. HALO3 sold a lot more copies on its first day than what killzone2 has sold in the last 8 months :) , Even HALO3 ODST has better sales than killzone2.

     

    Well just cos you and a few other thousands don't have a good enough gaming rig, it doesn't automatically make these games EXCLUSIVE to the Xbox360. For every one of you playing Mass Effect on the 360 there will be ten more playing it on the PC. Why? Cos Mass Effect on the Xbox 360 was a fkin slide show?

     

    Also I really don't give a flying fk about Killzone 2, Heavy rain, Halo or even GT 5 for that matter cos I know GOW III is gonna everything on the fkin planet when it releases.
