  1. Finished first season of 24 - I did not enjoy it. I would say the action picked up in the last few episodes. Very happy to see you-know-who die in the last episode since I couldn't stand the person.

I am talking about Teri. Would've made me so much happier if Kim also bought it

Nevertheless Jack Bauer makes Mr. T look like a pansy - he's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

Mwahahahaha. I've been telling people about Jack Bauer's awesomness for a while now. Sadly the latest season of 24 is kind of a letdown.

  2. The PC version is extremely buggy and runs like a mangled dog even on high end systems. Its a terrible port. Go for the X360 version.

Actually with a few patches and some third party mods it plays better than it did at launch. Still not fun though.

  3. I do admit that I like the game's setting, story and characters. It's by far one of the most mature crime games I've ever played. BUT it's the gameplay I have a problem with. The controls need work and I absolutely hate it when you have to chase someone down whether it's on foot or in a vehicle. And you have to do that in most of the missions. It's easy for Niko to get stuck in the environment while the target escapes. The cover system is not up to the mark and some of the shootouts are pretty tricky.

The worst part however is that there are no checkpoints despite the missions having multiple objectives and sections. Rockstar really should have taken a things or two from Saints Row and added at least 1 or 2 checkpoints. Yes you can restart a mission but asking for in game money for that is just lame - especially early on when Niko is short on cash.

The game is also low on the "fun" factor that sandbox games usually come with. There is very little to do besides the missions.

I don't exactly hate GTA IV, like I said, I love the characters and the story and the cutscenes are classic Rockstar GTA material. But the gameplay put me off from playing it about halfway through the story. It was more like an exercise in frustration than having fun with a game.

    Agreed.

What irked me the most however was the insane amount of repetition that plagued nearly every mission. Also what the fck was up with the game's physics? Run a dude over and it looks fine but punch brush against him and he walks like he's drunk. Also shoot some one in the leg and they have the exact same animation every single time. Euphoria my arse.

  4. He is speculating, you moron.

Not really. This is what Rockstar told Game Informer in their interview (leaked scans all over teh intenet btw).

    QFT.

And don't forget to add Total Overdose to that list. What a fun/funny game that was

And just when I was hoping for a sequel I find out that the studio shut down :( R.I.P. Faith and a .45

  5. I don't know why ya'll are stressing out so much. I think Max Payne's new avatar looks badass. And I'm very keen on seeing how Rockstar actually manage to re-invent Bullet Time.

  6. Finished it.. :panic:

Lil short but totally worth 1600 MS points...

    Rockstar -> ;)

Did you like run through every mission? I took 8 hrs to finish story mode with a few side quests thrown in.

Anyone else feel Rockstar's taken a small teeny little cue from SR2 making missions a lot more over-the-top and awesome in the process?

  7. I am fkin loving the DLC (no surprise there). I think all the haters should give it a shot since it's better than GTA IV IMO. Missions are tighter and you don't feel like some one's errand boy 24/7. I love the way bikes controls now (props to Rockstar for tweaking that) and while Johnny may not be as awesome as Niko, he's fkin badass in his own way.

PS: The grenade launcher owns hard.
