Dont you think its every player's dream to win trophies... If Arsenal continues to focus on playing the "PERFECT FOOTBALL" and not on winning then they will not only lose RVP but all their future stars... Yes, i am looking at you Chamberlain... A few years down the line when RVP is not playing anymore, he would definitely want to flaunt the trophies and medals he has won... Or do you think he is that selfless and would want to repay what the club has done for him?
Every player wants to win trophies... Torres was praised and loved at Liverpool... He wanted to win trophies... Fabregas, Nasri... All of them wanted to win trophies... If Arsene does not make some big signings soon, it is only a matter of time before RVP moves on...
I think when a player leaves a club for his own ambition the club should just let him go. They are all human after all and if you're not playing for the club (whatever the reasons may be) you should just move. Look at Zlatan, he is the best example of a football mercenary and look at the number of accolades the guy has now. Of course some players see their signings and commitments a bit differently and the fans always adore them for it but you make a valid point of retirement and looking at a trophy cabinet. Still the ego overrides most other things and while Van Persie might be a good captain at Arsenal, I can't see him going to any of the big winning clubs and strutting his tail feather to make them dance to his tune at the moment.

He won't leave and if he does, I doubt he'd play second fiddle wherever he chooses to go. He's a bigger idol than Cesc at this point and after the season he's had, the club should be looking to get him cohorts that bring in more goals.

LOL at Fergie. Have to feel sorry for him just wasn't his night

Been a while since I posted in here but does anyone if there is a local retailer in India that carries a Samsung 830 series SSD or an Intel 320 series SSD? I am looking at the 128GB mark but even a 256GB is within the budget. I know I can get it online and have it shipped to me but I'd rather know if anyone in India is selling it.
P.S. The reason for getting those two is because of the slim height factor as this is going into an Ultrabook (7mm). I am not looking for space as I have another server hosting everything I need and I don't want a regular HDD option either.

I think the old-guard needs to change and Carra has to be the first to go and get replaced. He's been great for the club but hes getting older and I think he knows more than anyone that its time to move on and perhaps take up a staffing job at the club because of how passionate he is about all of it.
Big game this coming weekend? Juve vs AC? Also, the Champs league rounds for the next few days as well as the UEFA games.

Marcus had that bad illness which ruined his career but IMO Finnan was the best we had .I loved his style complete team player.
Riise was strange ,somedays he was Awesome but on some days he gave away massive amounts of space .
IMO Finnan didn't really have the break-pace required to run that position. Furthermore, he always looked like he lacked that little edge to make others around him run up or fall-back. I gave Glen such a bashing over the last season but to be honest, i am glad he has finally learned a bit from his mistakes and is actually tracking back a bit more.

I always think that if Marcus had stayed fit he might have clinched the title of best FB for us and tbh he was a tall and power-oriented RB/FB. But Riise has had his golden moments with Liverpool too. Plus, Marcus was around when they did the UEFA Cup, League Cup, FA Cup, Super Cup and Charity Shield as well. Level-headed player except it all went downhill watching him in that chair.

3 were own goals

That one goal where the guy stopped it with his chest and then bounced it on his thigh and then went into the goal left my mouth open. It was like they all wanted to show their boss they could score except no one put a post-it on the goal-post they should have been aiming for.

Does anyone know a link that will stay up of the goals from last nights match against Brighton? I was shocked at the scoreline

You'd peg him to hit another 9 easily this season with the form he is in.

I wonder why they even bothered showing the City game last night. The highlight was watching a fan cuff himself to the goal. Shoulda gone with either the Spurs or Pool game might have been better for spectators. Oh well.

Used to be players were only worried about playing the game and now they play the ref too. I think every FA should open their eyes and allow only the player being issued the card the ability to argue with them as well as the person who gets fouled. If anyone else gets involved its a straight yellow after two times and three times is a red. I despise it when a whole team crowds the ref and tries to make a decision go their way. Totally pointless and a matter of bullying a person into a decision. And why issue cards? Because its tampering with the game decision engine and should not be allowed irrespective of the level of football or the name on the back of a players shirt.

Don't worry you'll get to see it all again in the second leg as well. I think I am done watching these matches because all I see is everyone trying to roust everyone by falling and screaming like they got hit by a SCUD missile. Still, that pass my Messi was very very nice.

I want each of the big cities to have one of these IPL teams but I'll take a step in the right direction ahead of doing it right first. Also, City win their game but I think it was a win due to J.H instead of the back-header by Dzeko, otherwise, it was a total snoozefest with some very good missed chances.

I don't know about Liverpool but Arsenal are not going after him......
I don't think he'd have fit into either team right now. My primary concern is that Kenny thinks our CAM is sorted and watch it come back to bite us around the month of March.
-
is it true that we are trying to get Kalou from Chelsea and that Arsenal are gunning for him too? My next question after that is why-oh-why?
-
And now they have rejected him going to AC too.
-
Only scousers lol
-
Poor performance by ManCity and its showing very clearly now how much their midfield has really disappeared. Add to their woes is Silva out and Kompany out as well.
-
Not a shabby game but we are probably lucky that City aren't playing all that great themselves.

Makes sense and Mark Hughes in the manager at QPR now. I see relegation lol
-
So let me get this straight.
Two straight reds gives you a four-match ban
One red just stands as a game loss
and if they are both due to Yellows then they can obviously be made up by exclusion over games and clearance via local-game rules across various tournaments where the card would have otherwise held good as well?
-
Btw, why is it a four match ban?

He should have left in the summer. Jose could have done without him in all honesty.
