  1. Idk. I'd take Gaitan out of them all personally. he has distributive capabilities and he can trouble defenders leaving opening slots for other players to come in. The rest seem a little too hard to get but Podolski is a proven striker and he still has a few years left on him.

Change the tactical formation and play him in a more top quarter only role leaving the rest of the three quarters for the rest of the team and things will change. He comes too far back and really isn't as fast as he should be to do any kind of damage. I just hope our January purchase(s) turn out to give him better service because right now the only time he gets anything at his height is when the passing game isn't played. I really wonder what kind of training he does at Melwood.

  3. Good performance by Liverpool yesterday. Impressed by Carroll and was happy to see Gerrard come back. I was expecting a 1-0 win for us but that Charlie Adam's own goal was very disappointing. Also, kudos to the Blackburn goalkeeper and their defender who made a goal line clearance in injury time. Last time it was Al Habsi and this time it was Mark Bunn. Great goal-keeping by him as he kept 2 sure-shot goals out of his net. :majesty:

I agree with an earlier comment. Anfield is not the stronghold it used to be and no one is to blame but the players on the pitch. Finishing has not been one of our finer points this season and it shows in the stats too. we are one of the few clubs in the top part of the bracket who give away more points from a lead than anyone else. Its moments like this that will come back to bite us when the season is over.

  4. Supremely disappointed by a draw.. :(

Must say Spurs fans have come a long way.....

After all the players that have come and gone with the kinds of teams you'll have had this is a very good showing for you'll. I wouldn't be too disappointed, still have a game in hand and many more games to come. The toughest encounters will be against the top two imo because yesterday it could have gone horribly wrong for Chelsea in the opening half but it didn't and perhaps a draw was the best result after it all.

I don't think we have any chance of a CL slot this season but I definitely want that Europa League slot because it is becoming increasingly evident that a lot of the players don't have as much match fitness as the team can offer because there isn't enough football for all of them.
