Every time i hear that name i feel sorry for Bayern lol
-
and then they are loaned out and they get game time elsewhere and sometimes don't want to come back because first team football is a dream for them.
-
i don't doubt that they do but when you look at the side that the current owners are fronting its not really promoting that is it?
-
I second that... Its not like SAF will be at the helm for a very long time. One or two seasons max. After that the whole saga of short term results over long term stability will start brewing and we could see managers after managers losing jobs in a jiffy.

Also, more money would mean more unnecessary purchases (look at Mancity) which'd destroy team dynamics completely. We'd end up buying talented mercenaries and that'd hurt the team more than the current financial situation with Glazers. I really dont want the takeover to happen. Let things be the way they are. I am a big fan of the youth side. We have a good talent pool going on. Pogba, Ravel Morrison etc look good. Cleverley and Welbeck are doing very well for their respective loan sides. Hernandez and Macheda look class. Gibson has potential (points at his performance against Crawley).
One GK and a solid attacking middie next season. Try to improve Bebe and Obertan. If they dont improve after being given ample opportunities, replace them. GGMU.

The youth system takes some of the hardest hits when you have an abundant cash-flow. However, that said what you said about team dynamics may not necessarily happen if the owners are smart and listen to the man at ground-zero aka the manager or el dottore. I think the big teams never really worry about replacements because someone is always knocking on their door saying "give me a chance" and lately we have started seeing vast improvements in how teams are promoting their youth. City takes special precedence here because they just have so much money its like buying a new horse every time one dies or gets fatigued.
@Catalyst : ZOMG I showed that to my friend who is over and he said that guy just doesn't like his face enough lol
-
I saw that and to be honest I was worried for a few over there but thank god Kuyt headed it in. N'gog is a waste of air-space.
-
Those Oil-Owners have a way of shutting even the best managers up. I'd say stick with who you'll have and don't get greedy.
-
I watched the Inter Bayern game after watching the United Marseille first half. I think everyone is just biding their time with the first round of games. Quite disappointing. And Arsenal are in for some tough times ahead.

^^^
checks calendar. checks watch. Yep seems about right that the bad luck had to fall Arsenal's way. I can still see them finishing strong though and United are playing a lot of games next week with the high chance that there will be team rotations. Promises to be exciting.
Is Gignon playing tonite?
-
thats what happens when a publication backs a specific team and just doesn't know how else to respond. Its a computer glitch? Really? I mean who in the world are they trying to fool.
-
Lyon and Real ... always a good match
-
is it because Real aren't playing well? hehe. I think Lyon should take this game. They have looked and played better.
-
lyon should be one up ... what a mistake.
-
its hard being a manager these days. Owners don't give u power sometimes and before you know it a few loses and ur out on the street hunting for a new club to run.
-
Some good things to note today. I watched this Sunday's episode of Top Gear and laughed at the Audi - ManU and SAF and Rooney references. If your a United fan avoid it but if you just watch it for shits and giggles go for it. I was also shocked at what Yaya said but I suppose this comes from the other head he uses occasionally. I won't put anything past any team out there. For eg. Back in the day, teams from Eastern Europe were powerhouses and then they all faded into the wind and the other leagues pounced ahead. However, looking at how the CL has shifted balance over the last few years, its quite comforting to see that clubs in those countries are starting to realize that they can offer players the required money and sometimes do better than they expect. I don't foresee them coming back this year or perhaps the next but I'd watch for them around 2015 things will start looking very different then.

now we know the secret of his football prowess

-
its funny but whenever i think of Woodgate I get reminded of Kewell as well. What a super signing he could have turned out to be had he not gotten injured when he was with us.
-
Woodgate is the remains of what used to be a fighting Leeds United once upon a time. That team got disassembled and since then times have been tough for them.
-
SMH. I still think Arsenal can knick one trophy this season if they don't do a self-destruct which is also highly possible. Nothing is guaranteed even with a 7 point difference these days and it all depends on who wants it more at this point. We might all be surprised at the end of the season when we look at how it started and how it ended. When we started the season I figured we'd atleast get a CL spot but now I think Europa is probably where we will be looking at the end of this year. Considering we were close to relegation and might still play other teams in Europe I call that saving our backsides.

I feel sorry for Woodgate what a defender he used to be and look at him now. He looks like a recovering alcoholic.

platini = a word i cant use on the forum
-
man city cruise wonder what in the world is going thru wengers mind but its ok shud be entertaining nonetheless
-
What in the world has happened to Chelsea? Roman might have made a killer buy but its not materializing for him yet. I really hope Arsenal lift something this season because Wenger and the team deserve it after the way they have played this season.
-
yep otherwise Arsene will fry him
-
i WANT one of those lol or ill just print it out and frame it lol pirceless
-
we missed a lot of players out there yesterday but it was a match we can walk away from saying to ourselves that we did alright. They will come to Anfield and that works in our benefit.
P.S. We need to get N'Gog ramped or lose him. He's a distraction on the pitch both for us and the opposition lol
