ILL-EAGLE cable services

-
As of 7PM today, I now get all the sports channels that a donkey can carry on its back. Football can now continue sans any problems at all. Thank God.
-
Anyone know where I can score a 300GB Velociraptor in Bangalore? I tried SP Road but they don't seem to have it and I have called a few shops too but they dont have it either.
-
I see Arsenal winning this one by a goal and thats not because I am against them or anything but they have been prying defensive teams up lately. Final score 2 - 1 to the Gunners.
It was good to see Chelsea slowly coming back to form yesterday and had they netted that penalty [sigh], it would have sent a statement of intent to all the other teams in the league too. After the drubbing we got from NCU over the weekend, I figured id see how the other teams are doing too lol. That Bolton wanderers match though was the match of the weekend.
-
what happened yesterday was pure shite at its best. We werent assertive enough and this was the same newcastle that got thumped the week before that match. I suppose we have to look forward to more madness in the coming months but at this rate, we are going to need to up the defensive game because that was our weak spot yesterday.

lol I wonder how mush of that 700 cr figure will be used wisely

One world class training centre per major city will do wonders for our young players.
Even with a world class training center you need to attract world class managers and trainers to get things rolling in the first few years while the older players learn the trait and then start coaching the next-gen. I think this is possible if they took their minds of focusing on one sport and distributed it evenly over others. Just look at the rubbish that is going on in Indian Hockey right now - Fire the coach, start blaming the fact that they let a foreigner in, didn't pay him enough, didn't give him enough support and then chuck him out, make him a scapegoat and rue the last few years when they were hatching eggs and letting the team go out and do its job. If any self-respecting manager of any sport saw this and saw the amount of rubbish that coaches in other sports are going through with our existing sports system I think they'd turn a blind-eye unless the money was really good.
I think its an overall project. You can't focus on one aspect of it all and say oh now we have the money so things will roll. Its segmented and needs to be done in stages taking everything involved into account. You have to bring in fans, upgrade your facilities, build your teams, create continued revenue generation, entice investors, create relations with other clubs in asia and bring them over. Get the ball rolling for the national team strategy to create a presence and its not going to happen overnight with an injection of 700Cr.
-
Training facilites, youth system development, better awareness of local clubs and much better coverage of local games by sports channels as well. 700 Cr will touch the tip of that iceberg and even if it does manage to touch that then companies will have to step in and sponsor teams and push them out with marketting. Then, we will start to see progress. I could care less if we go to the Prem, so many other leagues around the world and if we break into a league in Africa, I would consider that an achievement.

them be fighting words lol. There is some truth in what Evra said but theres no reason to go out and be insulting about it. Then again, who really listens to the French anymore.
-
I read an article in the paper today about Nasri liking Indian and Asian players in general and that he wants to play besides one soon. I think we all know what happens when 100s of Crores get put into a project. Lets hope for the best.

My sixth sense tells me both will be on TS within this month.
, how long can Zee & Ten ignore 5 million+ TS subscribers.
Watches delta-T go to infinity

I hope this weekend, we trash Newcastle and move up a bit more but that all depends on how we align our players because that team is looking a little shaky now and with a new manager, I think we can squeeze another victory in.

Speculation? I mean hes got a lot to teach the midfield but I don't really think Roy would sign him.
-
I think the Arsenal game was better to watch than that mess that was Chelsea vs Marseille. But in the end the team that played harder won and its not like Chelesea were looking like a well-oiled machine on the night anyways. I am happy Ajax won.

Utility player and I feel he has been underused and could probably do with some more time on the pitch. He was a rocket at the Euros and then he fizzled as did his other Russian compatriot at Arsenal. But look what hes doing now and this guy deserves his chance too.
-
well u cant just let him run riot and treat u like sh*t because the manager loses face and then the team starts suffering because others will ask why he's getting preferential treatment over them. Its bad enough that they pay players so much money but to allow this to happen is a bit foolish.
-
This happened against Bolton Wanderers and is all over the papers now. Apparently, Tevez was really pissed off because Mancini subbed him in injury time. Tevez wanted Balotelli to be subbed instead of him
. Very unprofessional behaviour imo.Mancini has played down this event very nicely though.
Bench him for the next two games as a indicator that "I am the manager and you are nothing but a player in a team with resources to get the job done even if you leave" then see what happens. Players don't dictate their time on the pitch and even if there is disparity with the manager it shouldn't be shown in public like that. Guess money doesn't buy you everything lol. As for Jol I think id like to see him at NewCastle. They are doing well this season and what they did with Chris was total sh*t.
-
Lol @ comparison with El Clasico. Btw, I think that Babel was offside during that goal there but his finish was just
. Hell I don't think even Torres could have finished that shot any better. Babel has always been a very under-rated player and deserves more time on the pitch. He is again proving what a clean striker of the ball he is.Also Mel you have to agree Johnson has defended very well so far; specially the way he took the ball away from the Villa player when he was about to cross.
Johnson almost did a Nasri and if he wasnt so selfish they could have netted one more. An altogether neat performance with lapses in defense and a few slip-ups. Still need to oil the machine but its a good pace-setter
-
they are actually playing very good possession and distribution today. And Babel
what a goal!! The commentator on Canal+Sport said it seems like El Classico with the same score at half time. Thank god I dont have to hear the french commentators anymore
-
His injury in his last season at Milan has been plaguing him ever since. Hes never going to recapture the form he had when he won Ballon D'or.
I remember watching him link with Seedorf once and said to myself this man has the most smoothest distribution game I have ever seen. Totally unselfish and a great eye for passing through defences. Sadly, I don't think we will ever see him at his AC peak again either
. -
and hes leading the league in scoring too. I think Kaka has been deflated for a while now and I dont think he was worth the money to be honest. When he was at AC he was a whole different animal

Today is a big match for Liverpool. Gerard Houlier finally returns to Anfield but with another team. If Liverpool win this match, we will just be 3 points behind 5th place Spurs but it won't be easy without Carragher, Agger and Gerrard. Hopefully Raul Meireles steps up his game and shows us all what he is really capable of.
I think we need more than Merieles to step his game up. Joe Cole needs to get his groove back, Torres needs to find better sync with Kuyt and we are getting absolutely no good service from the wings into the box. Maxi is showing a little bit of form but nothing great so far and we are getting murdered at the top of the defensive arc. I hope they can get another 3 points today against Houlier but its going to be nice to see a man who did good things at Anfield back tonight

I think it isn't a bad idea. I mean he was there when Owen was peaking and they do share a good relationship as manager/player. The question you have to ask though is, how is he going to integrate Owen into AV? Is he going to be a more dominant person in that line-up and would Owen even think of leaving United when there is a strong chance of them lifting the cup this year?
-
I'm just glad I've got till Monday before L'pool plays. I put the TV on to check the Chelsea score and said ah 1 - 0 it will end in a draw and it did! I think they need to start winning some domestic games soon before this becomes a habit. Even with Lampard back I don't think its fair to expect them to magically turn a corner especially against a comeback team like Spurs.

Just called my brother and told him I am coming in 2022 if he is still in the country at the time

Back to the football at hand ... Did anyone see Lazio thumping Inter?
