Considering Xmas is right around the corner I have started looking out for Xmas music and its quite atrocious the kind of f@@#ing crap that is out there claiming to be Xmas music and Mariah Carey is numero uno on that crap list. Dave Barnes is not too shabby. Any recommendations on music from 2010 releases [xmas] welcome.

Frodo as a Hooligan ... WOOT! Yeah I watched it a while back and liked it. Not enough though imo. The first few parts of the movie that explain rivalry between different groups is good though.

I honestly dont think it will be bad in Qatar. I mean what is everyone really crying about? That the games will be bad? I mean they have a good infrastructure, they have the money to build stadiums [you might see the best in the world very soon] and they have the ability to accommodate masses. I think the English fans are just bitter about Russia and that's all there is. After all that the Russian Federations spokesperson said and the way the media blew it up no one expected them to really be in contention and then to go and win it was a big shock for England. Personally, I don't think England would have done well even if it was hosted in England but that's just me. This way, we will get to see some real grit when the teams go to Russia for the WC.
@Shekdown: I think its good that they are taking the sport global and that they are giving other countries the chance to host the event but if I remember right, when the WC was over in South Africa there were lingering issues of payments and employee problems as well right? I am just hoping none of that gets reflected in any of the countries going forward.

Qatar o_0
why not australia ? how good is qatar's team ? i have my aussie cousin over here and he is visibly upset over not getting the nod. i can understand... australia have a good team.
Australia doesn't have grade A camels lol.
P.S. When has Sepp ever been a 'football-oriented' person?

After all the shite that the Russian Federation President said at those meetings they got it. WTF seriously! But I am happy that Qatar got it for 2022 which gives them ample time to jack-up their infra and provide fans with what they need. Its going to be interesting to see Russia develop over the next few years.
PRICELESS ala Twitter: what a shame! #crap #england2018 - can't even win at PowerPoint & bribery! It's a sh*t-hole anyway and a daft game! haha

yeah.. and this is what the manu fans do at the bar......there .....

One round of beer for them on me lol. On another note, with FIFA making decisions for hosting the WC in Europe, I don't know if I can really back England but the infrastructure is just dynamite. I think Spain/Portugal is a good place to have it in too. What do you guys think? I say give the World Champions a chance. The weather is better, the food and alco is good and they have the means to accommodate some crazy crowds plus its going to happen in a joint system. I mean who the F wants to go to England in the summer when you've got nicer beaches in Iberia.
-
well its good i suppose that these places are opening now give me some local club patronage as well and then we can start some real fan wars lol and even get to meet players and actually get involved with the clubs that play locally too.

Apparently there is going to be a ManU bar and resto opening in Bangalore on the 3rd ... now bring the rest of them too or give us a 'real' footy bar/pub
-
that WHU-MNU game is pretty good. Fabio deserves what he got because he was blatantly running around Boa Morte and he had enough of the fouls. But the man of the moment is J.Spector and he should have a hat-trick too simply because the asst. ref took forever and the decision for the goal should have stuck.

Haha no doubt about that... ive mentioned it countless times that ferreira belongs to the coca cola championship....
And you would be generous to put him there lol

BTW, how good a signing is Raul Meireles for Liverpool. Baldy has balls... Good distribution and terrific workrate...

I was harping about him through the WC and I even harped when the guy was playing for Porto [another team I really like]. He finds those little slots, he's not scared to shoot and he will push you over if you give him half the chance. I hope Roy pushes him into the position he plays best and allows him more breaks towards defences because he sees openings and if someone can feed him a ball we will see him get better at Liverpool. I think even players like Moutinho or Hulk would be good in the Prem because one is distributive and the other is just explosive.

give Ancelloti a few more weeks to either come to his senses or show everyone else that they should have kept the faith all along. I think you'll need a creative midfielder more than a defender because your back-line can be reinforced if you let your attacking prowess flow a little more smoothly but then again that's just me. You have two creative midfielders in the rehabilitation-bin and its starting to hurt you'll alot.
On another related note id like to see him at Liverpool - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricky_van_Wolfswinkel

I'm not worried yet because this is where we have to show that we can still operate a defensive unit without him for a game(s) until he gets better. He's not the most sprightly guy on the pitch at the moment but his situational awareness is going to be missed. I forsee a lot of left-side attacks now lol
-
Implosion at Stamford Bridge? Say it isn't so. But I am not worried because there is plenty of time for everyone between 8 and 1 to falter and all it takes is one bout of brilliance from anyone in the table to make that happen. The way this season is going it could be anyone ranging from United all the way down to the teams in the relegation zone.

ps. my cablewala rocks, monthly only rs 150 and i get all channels <3

Today morning over coffee and croissants, a friend and I were discussing the infamous style of play that Barca display every time they touch the ball. The distribution is neat, long balls are totally unnecessary and every player on the pitch seems to want to provide openings for the other player not at India-China distances but more like little neighbourhoods and we started wondering why other teams don't adopt this style of play? If you notice, there are only three key skill-driven players in that Barca team and none of them are in defence. I blame it on poor youth systems and countries/clubs holding onto their old-school methods of winning [oh England please be my scape-goat here]. I don't see why CR and Ozil weren't more prominent in the game with positive passing and why in gods name is Khedira playing in La Liga because he is so much better than what he was last night. If you noticed, he was the only guy really running around and trying to make a game of it while everyone else was losing the ball and just crying for a foul. I also remember a commentator criticizing the Premier-league for creating this false notion that the bigger and stronger you are, the better defender you will be at the center and that it has strayed away from developing tacticians more than strong-armed players. If you create a situation where everyone can pass and no one thinks twice about filling slots then you have a team that can pretty much run anyone ragged irrespective of height, speed or strength. Germany showed it at the WC and imo they were a better passing unit than Spain and created better wing opportunities.
P.S. Sergio Ramos needs anger-management that was totally unnecessary and I was laughing the whole time it happened.

its all over now. Barca have got their three points. Unless they want to add embarrassment to injury
-
V.Valdez was the criminal there. Pep let it go, so did Ronaldo and then Valdez came out and said "I missed this party? Oh hell no ..." lol
-
I think Pep deserved it. He put the ball away when he could have just easily put it back in CRs hands but the fight after that was pure brill lol. If you egg certain players they just come back stronger and CR is one of those guys. Booing him actually makes him want to prove himself and he almost did with the freekick. Personally, i don't care who wins here because it actually sorted itself out once the incident happened and now possession isn't as dynamite as the first few minutes.

I am looking forward to the game at OT for the FA Cup. I think if we play like we played today with a little tinkering by Roy then we might actually have an actual chance to steal some pride back. Torres was working magic with his feet till he got annoyed and Kuyt and Mereilles were actually pushing well yesterday. Now all we need is some key elements in midfield and we definitely need Jamie back in D if we want to salvage anything.
-
Because your defense wasn't talking. oh and Ashley Cole saved you'll embarrassment as did Raul for us today.
-
@Avi: Yeah i was happy with the performance too and I am glad that Lennon was selfish towards the end because it could have gotten very embarrassing. Torres was on fire towards the end of the first half and I wish that Maxi had capitalized because then we could have focused better on defense instead of trying to extend the lead. I think that Roy is wishing for a speedy recovery from Gerrard because i'd like to see R.M play a little ahead if possible. He was making some very good passes today as was Lucas [i just bit my tongue] but we can walk away from this one saying we really tried our best.
Btw interesting fact: All teams scored this weekend ... Woot [41 goals in all]

Blackburn are getting dusted at OT lol.

-Fifa is a jerk, their moto is 'say no to racism' and then they go ahead and gift their premier tournament to a country that has homosexuality as a criminal offense, ie it differs people.
How in the world is an anti-homosexuality governed country going to ruin the football played there during a WC? I think bringing the thought about any kind of prejudice [with the exception of death lol] makes a governing organization looks even worse than the kind of rubbish that England is now flinging at FIFA.
-qatar has a team that ranks 115 in the world. Surely Australia would have been much better. not only do they have a better team but bringing the cup there would really mean bringing the sport to all corners of the world, Qatar is very much a central hemisphere nation.
When was the last time we had a world cup in an Arab nation? I don't see any reason why we shouldn't now, even Mexico has had a WC FFS. Everyone else has had a chance and everyone except the Middle East and Australia have seen one WC in their backyards. You might not believe this but the craze for football in the Middle-East is probably higher than Australia and if Australia really want it that bad then keep trying. They've hosted an Olympics and theres nothing to stop them from getting a chance if FIFA deems it necessary. Outreach should matter more to the organization and in countries where football is a home-found passion [like any country in the middle east], I think FIFA made the right move here by sending it to Qatar and not to any other Middle-Eastern country because there is space to build stadiums and their access will be very good. The costs in Europe or Australia would have been high compared to the other countries in the list and when you think about it, FIFA needs to expand its base and show the footballing community that look we care about the little guy too irrespective of how much money he has. There's plenty of years left to circle back to ground zero and start with the big names once again.
I don't like Sepp one bit myself but then again belittling a country on political issues shouldn't be a reason to assume the football that is going to be played at the highest level or with the best of facilities or with the highest security. Over the years people have complained about English fans being unruly and uncontrollable and I'd like to see any fans do rubbish in Qatar during the WC and get away with it. I can tell you now that if anything like that happens it will be curtains down for the offender and out of all the nations on the roster this cannot happen anywhere else except a mid-eastern country. My friend told me what about the alcohol? I said have you ever lived in a mid-eastern country? There are bars and places to party. They just don't leave it screaming in the wide-open for everyone to say oh look that looks like a fun place.
Here's a nice biscuit for all you Chelsea fans btw - http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=848305&sec=england&cc=4716
