  1. So its still scheduled for spring 2010, thats roughly 10 months. Just how much polishing does this need? I mean you could "bug free" Stalker and Boiling point both in that kinda time frame and both of them had more bugs than gameplay.

  2. Well Six feet under has its hooks in me now. Its a slow starter but once you get to know the characters its very, very watchable. Plus it has this really dark sense of humour. Not laugh out loud funny but every now and then something will induce and giggle or a guffaw and you will ask yourself "Did I just laugh at that? Thats a bit sick."

  3. Hmm Shantz is offline. Anyone else?

Also I got a really sweet deal on a few books today. Duma Key, From a Buick 8 and State of Fear (all new hardcover editions) for 100 bucks each. None of them were on my must read list but at 100 bucks for the hardcover edition it seemed cruel to pass up on them. Also From a Buick 8 has an awesome poster with it as well. f**king win!

    :scratchchin:

  4. A slightly odd bug thats been happening to me. I am using Opera 9.64 and sometimes when I click in the reply box to move the curser to a differant word it will sometimes take that click as a click on an advertisement link below. Has this happened to anyone else?

  5. Finished Firefly/Serenity. :hi:

Why would they cancel an amazing show like that? And why do great shows end up on Fox (where they are inevitably cancelled after a season or two)?

Anyway I was watching TV (actual TV at home not downloaded stuff for once) after ages and caught the trailer for The Pacific. Its from the same game guys that did Band of brothers and this one looks just as amazing. Check it out.

2010 cant come soon enough. Band of brothers, Generation Kill and now this, I :hi2: HBO. They are the only channel on Earth that will greenlight stuff like this.

    Edit WTF? Random quoting FTL.

  6. Saw Public enemies. Not bad, not great either. IMO, wait for the DVD, its not worth going to the theatre for.

It has its moments, there is a shootout thats very reminiscent of Heat (only not as good) and there is a small face off between Depp and Bale (again Deniro and Pacino in Heat come to mind but this one is too brief) but aside from that there isn't much that stands out. Bale is mostly wasted on a role that doesn't really have much range or scope. Depp's performance kept reminding me of DiCaprio in Catch me if you can. He has the charm and the presence but (for me) its still not one of his better performances, at times it feels like he is phoning it in.

Mostly it just made me wish I was re watching Heat at home.

BTW PVR Saket has to have the crappiest, most cramped seats I have ever seen in any theatre. And I have seen films at some total shitholes.
