What do they send on delivery? A printed game code?
Hmm so if they are partnering with someone local, I wonder if Steam controller and Steam Link are next.

Wow this thread kinda died. So bump I guess.
So I finished Starship Troopers. And I am not really sure what to make of it. My expectations going in were of a sci fi, space opera with these big alien war set pieces (based on the film) and that is like 10% of the book. The rest of it is just military life proselytizing (at least that is my read on it) and its just kinda falls flat for me when it does that. It has this weird combination of the author really meandering (almost endlessly) over some aspect of the military and yet despite that for the most part it manages to be pretty readable and occasionally quite engaging. So I guess I would call it well written, even if the intent and the subject doesnt grab me.
This had been on the to do list forever. Everyone recommends this and I just cannot see why. It did absolutely nothing for me.
Anyway. Started The Last Mughal afterwards. About a third of the way in and holy moly that is a good book. Fascinating.

I dunno about that Mummy trailer. The last one with Brendon Fraser is one of my all time favorite pop corn flicks (right up there with the Pirates of the Caribbean). And I will watch Tom Cruise in almost anything. But the trailer was kinda meh.

Oh man. I had forgotten how good Angel city was.
Its insane how smoothly every run you try in that map just flows from jump to jump.

Uninstalled.
13-14 hours in and it got so unbelievably tedious. I really hope if they do a sequel they can improve the pacing, trim the fat, ditch the Batmobile and make a shorter more focused campaign.

I don't see point of hiring all these big costly Hollywood stars coz we as all know Kojima is not some amazing story teller or anything. Voice acting and story is bunch of nonsense in his games when compared to ND, Bioware, CDRed and Teltale games.
I like MGs4 and 5 for gameplay mechanics nd all not story
So its happening. It's time to ditch standard PS4 :/
There was gameplay in MGS4?

Oh wow. This is 2300 on the Windows store. Still Windows store. Not touching that unless its sub 1000 there. Too many issues.
So controller use isnt mandatory for PC players in crossplay lobbies? If not, will fail. Guess they want it to if they dont even have this basic foresight. Just make controller a must and all lobbies crossplay. And may be a mix mode PC only lobby option for PC players that cant use a controller.
I dont think there is any safe way to enforce Controller play short of disabling your mouse in game.

Xcom 2 (with a couple of mods) is absolutely fantastic. One of my favorite games of the last few years and almost as good as the first XC EW. But yeah, you can get a better deal than 1499 if you look for a physical copy.
Its been 499~ on Flipkart multiple times. Its 600-700 on Ebay right now.

Dude. We have been able to teach apes how to sign language in English. The fact that Aliens didnt bother to pick it up before they land is absolute horseshit. We literally sent out petabytes of communication data every second out into space. Everything from TV to phone calls to internet. I refuse to believe that an advanced species wouldnt even bother learning to communicate before making peaceful contact. It is ridiculous.
I didnt see her decoding sh*t. She had an entire team working on that. There is no indication that she had anything to do with that.
Canary just means the O2 is breathable. You can still be in an O2 rich environment that is a biohazard. It was a reckless, idiotic move. The kind a "Hero" of a masala Hindi film makes. "They have to see me" f**king LOL. For all she knew the Alien physiology meant they dont see the way we do. Hell they might have been able to see through the layer of the Hazmat suit just fine.
The Sci fi in this sci fi film is second rate garbage.

Hiya Afty!

C'mere you!

Dishonored 2 33% off on steam.(2009 INR)
Damn son. That is fast even by Bethesda standards. I would still hold off though. 50% off by winter sale not far fetched I think.

Saw Arrival.

This is a really good example of a clever twist elevating an average movie to above average. Because about 20 minutes from the ending I was very unimpressed. But couple it with the twist and it felt the movie somewhat redeemed itself. Having said that there are still parts of it that definitely felt well below average. For one, Amy Adams character doesnt really seem particularly smart or perceptive. You could pick any schmuck off the streets and he could go into the Alien chamber to say his own name slowly and use a white board. And the random idiot off the street wouldnt take his Hazmat suit off in an alien environment (are all the people that disliked Prometheus for that gonna hold this accountable too?
). Even the Alien language is decoded by a team and using computers. There is very little in the film that is shown off that justifies her being on site. The Aliens dont seem much better written either. A super advanced species that has mastered interstellar travel and can manipulate gravity at will couldnt learn a few human dialects before landing? Like really? We can do that when we contact Amazonian tribes for crying out loud and our species is super f**king retarded. But the Aliens have to be taught like kindergartners? Why not learn the local language and then just go to earth and say in the local language "Hey f**k nuggets, here is some cool tech but the cool tech is written in alien and we are giving different fragments to different countries so you shitlords have to work together. So unf**k yourselves."
Honestly, as a sci fi film its very sub par. But like I said, the twist is kinda neat and saves the film a little bit. Renner is super underused as well.
Oh and f**k them for making the Chinese and Russians the villains again. If anyone in Humanity will ever start an inter planetary fight I guarantee it will be the Americans. Especially with Dipshit Donald at their helm.

Holy sh*t Tyler is alive.

I cant find a thread for Just Cause 3 but WTF at that game being 60GB? Like really?

Finished the campaign. Man that last boss battle was f**king brutal. I just ended up dropping the difficulty down to normal to get past it after like 10-12 attempts. It felt cheap and unfair.
TBH, most of the Titan sections are definitely the low point of the game. Every time the campaign is your pilot zipping around a level its f**king brilliant. Every time you get into a Titan the euphoria comes crashing down. It doesnt help that all the "boss battles" are Titan Battles. And none of them are particularly interesting. All of them are just variants of "Fight this one tough guy while he spawns a bunch of less tough guys around him as well".
But its hard to stay mad because as soon as you get out of the Titan its such a feeling of freedom that you instantly forget the slog that happened before hand.
I think the best thing I can say about this is that it feels like a very early 2000s/late 90s kinda shooter (IMO the golden age of FPSs). A point when FPSs werent constrained by laws of reality. You could throw anything in there and see what sticks. So you could have Unreal Tournament, Halo and Quake with their weird a*s weapons, stupid looking enemies and alien looking levels. Or the alien planet/zen sections in Half Life. Or the silliness of NOLF. Just stuff that would no longer fly after the HD consoles and war shooters became big.
I genuinely hope they keep this up if they ever make a sequel.
Also lastly, its kinda funny that they are making a Star Wars game because the story of this (guy saves a planet by destroying a Death Star) is just soooo Star Warsish.

My copy is still biting the dust since launch...
Is it worth playing when compared to Human Revolution? A lot of them saying it's average game; while others are saying it's great.
Its a really decent game. I think HR was better but this isnt a significant drop in quality. If you liked that, its mostly more of the same.
The side quests are more entertaining than the main story. Overall, personally, very worth playing.

I thought it was ok. You mean the ingame UI or the Menu UI?
-
Man what a waste of bandwidth that is.
They really should start giving options for downloads. I dont need extra languages. I think TF1 had lossless audio or some stupid sh*t like that too. I dont need that either.
-
WTF The PC version was a 27GB download. How did they make the X1 version larger?
-
Bethesda doesn't put their games on sale like Square-Enix. It'll take a sweet time to get a nice discount.
Doom was like 50% off a month after release. Pretty sure I remember seeing F4 at a pretty good discount soon after release too.
I think Acti are the only ones that dont do sales.

LMAO you are watching these movies because of missus right?

Not this one. Everyone just wanted to go for a movie on Sat eve. This was the only film that had tickets available at the closest cinema. Found the hard way why.

^^Nope. He had no problems disliking the last SW with a female lead and a black sidekick.
@Dante77 Yep. The Brendon Fraser Mummy really is a super fun film to watch. And the CGI still holds up.
