Honestly we were told the same but it was weird to think of her alone in another room so we just didn't. At around 2 we started putting her to bed in her own room. It was a gradual process. She kept slipping into our room later and I had to keep waking up and carrying her back. Don't worry about it too much. Now she's nine. If she wakes up, comes to our room and wakes me up and asks to walk her back to her bed. 1 minute and she's asleep again.

They're not going to sleep in your bed forever.

It has been really challenging taking care of him for the both of us as we are far away from our families. And we just came to terms that not all the recommended things the pediatricians tell  can be done by us. I am glad that we got our lil one to align his sleep hours to match ours and it has been such a relief since then :)

11 month old in another room? Isn't that too soon?

Most pediatricians recommend starting sleep training around 4 months.

Sleepless nights are real !!

Our pediatrician has been recommending to sleep train our baby boy since week 1. He will be 11 months old in 2 days and still doesn't sleep anywhere but next to us :fear:

It is just extremely hard for both me and SO to leave him in the other room late in the night and let him learn how to go to sleep on his own :(

  4. @HundredProofSamDo you think there is merit in having a list of games IVG library is accepting at this time? We can start with something short and increase the list as we move forward. Library staff/members can suggest or request new games to be added to the list. It would be a starting point for someone interested in joining the library to see what other members are interested in.

If not now, atleast in the future when the library has a decent catalog of games. Having a list will help new "library-eligible members" decide which games other members would like to see added to the library.

It would also be nice to link the OP of this thread in the IVG Game Library - Rules and Guidelines thread, it does need an edit as the links to the pictures are all dead. Some of the younger members can use the help on how to package a game and will avoid any damages of library games during shipping.

Is there anyone here who plays on a PC with a high refresh rate monitor (>=144) and a controller? Do you think the benefits of refresh rate, response time and input lag are as crucial as with KBM? I'm specifically talking about the jump from 60 to 144. Seeing how the controllers themselves are way less precise, I would reckon it wouldn't be as impactful.

I play Overwatch, Valorant on a 240Hz monitor. I believe anything over 144 is overkill if you are using a controller.

Wow didn't realize this thread was still active! Though I'm not sure how it went from lowballing discussions to N95 face mask prices

Anyway, I've since moved to Texas after creating this thread a while ago. There are some lowballers here too on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace but nowhere near as bad as OLX. Most people are very decent and barely ask for 10% off. It's very refreshing :D

So when I get lowballed these days I just say "No" or don't bother replying. Don't want to risk pissing off someone with a smartass reply and have them show up at my door with a gun or something :bandit:

I'm not even kidding. Last week I sold N64 controllers to some dude and he showed up with a handgun stuffed in his back pocket :O. Luckily he just paid cash and thanked me and left.

One of the reasons I never buy/sell anything off craigslist and Facebook marketplace. Had a scary experience few years back. Someone listed Mario Kart 8 for switch a week before release date and I got tempted and drove 30 minutes to buy it. Everything went smooth but I noticed the seller was in his late teens or early twenties and after taking my cash, called someone. His friends drove from across the street, rolled the windows and gave me my copy.

I went home, played the game for a day. The next day, I saw a tweet from local PD about a stolen shipment of Mario Kart 8s and that the culprits were caught. Went to the cops and mentioned about me buying a copy off someone in Offerup(more secure as it has members verified by their drivers license or social). They asked me to show the listing and after seeing it told me I bought it off the the guy that stole a shipment from Gamestop. I told them they can take the copy off me but they let me go after asking to be cautious when buying things off internet. They were surprised that I went to them to handover my copy of the game but appreciated being honest

Dunno about UC4 but TLoU MP was straight up pay to win with them selling weapons, attachments and skills.

you are right, I forgot about all the DLC perks that cannot be acquired without paying.

The MP mechanics for UC4/TLOU were mtx heavy anyways.

which mechanics? iirc, all micro transactions for UC4 and TLoU1 multiplayer are cosmetics
