Hey guys, I'm from Delhi (but will move to B'lore in 1st week of April). Purchased PS3 two days back, but found this forum before that. Now I'm after games and learning about things PS3 can do. I'm finding a little hard to understand if we can purchase games online, movies etc etc

DICE has set a date for Battlefield: Bad Company 2's second VIP map pack.
The date to watch is March 30th. The pack, which actually contains new modes for existing maps, will be free to those who already entered their VIP codes. VIP codes come packed with new copies of the game. If you bought yours used, you can still get a VIP code for US$ 15.
Here's what the pack contains:
Arica Harbor Conquest mode - US Command launches a break through action directly at the Russian base. Collateral damage is of no consequence. Capture and secure tactical positions in Conquest Mode across the vast Arica Harbor map.
Laguna Presa Rush mode - The valley and surrounding mountains possess a strategic value in the battle for South America, and an infantry assault supported by light armor vehicles is likely by both armies as US forces defend the nearby Dam.

actually KKR failed to Pick/Chose some good Players in that 1st Auction,blame Whole Team Management for this,kkr took Ponting instead of other Good players,
+KKr facing the problem non availability of good players (like Gayle...)
+this Team is Completely Depended on the world Class players,not a single Domestic Player(except Laxi and Saha)can play a Match Winning Role
Actually in IPL , the local players play a important role in the team than the foreign players...coz u can hv oly 4 over seas players..
The reason y Delhi , DC , RCB n CSK did well r becoz they hv good local talent with over seas players..

KKR team isn't strong. Except for Sourav and Gayle, I don't see any strong batsman in the side ( McCullum is coming only after March).
The bowling still seems better with Langevelt, Bond, Sharma and Mendes but the batting line-up could be our biggest problem as we all know Sourav isn't consistent anymore and Gayle may not be in top form as he was in the last year's edition.
Sharma is bowling like sh*t....
They however hv David Hussey n Brad Hodge...
they lack local talent...

u can use each n every class in dis game effectively...
its not like dis map is for snipers . dis fr assaults...

how do we get out of the mortar strike zone ? is there any indication of where the mortars are gonna strike ? And, how do we deploy mortar strikes. I didn't unlock them but I stole them from teammates who had them and I don't think I ever got it to work
yes..u'll know if the mortar is hitting u..
u'll get sme kinda warning msg , like missile locked or smething..

Dunno about the demo, but in the full game, most players are smart enough to escape the vehicle and the mortar strike perimeter. You'll probably get the +100 for the vehicle destruction and if you are luck another +50 for killing an enemy. Its extremely rare to get +400 in a single mortar strike unless you time it perfectly to coincide with an enemy onslaught on a M-COM station in RUSH.
i unlocked mortar in the beta....but din use it much..
But in da ps3 demo u can oly level up to level 2....
so i din unlock the mortar strike...
i used to blow up tanks with c4...in each game used to atleast blow up 2 or 3 tanks...
30 for vehicle damage , 100 for vehicle destruction...2 kills 100 pts..double kill 30 pts n defensive kills 2 * 30 = 60..

you can't get that many points from spotting in the full game. It's not like the demo.

coz in the demo if i jus aim @ da attackers base...
i was easily getting 4 to 5 spots whn they were cmin 4m the parachute..
so easily 80 to 100 pts...

The spot and kill assists add up, but certainly do not form the bulkof your score. If thats teh case, then you are a very poor player.

i still hv'nt got the game...
But i used to get 40 % of ma pts by spotting n kill assists...
but as a recon to earn more pts u got to destroy enemy vehicles...
u r sure to get 300 to 400 pts in 1 destruction...

Btw, what exactly does that spotting attachment do? I've used it once or twice and failed to see any difference.
And i have managed to be the top player just by recon spotting in couple of games. Not to brag, but just to tell you guys how important it is.
whn u take recon u get most of ur points by jus spotting n kill assists..
