  1. See i want to bash lolygon like everyone else and they're basically MS's unofficial pr this gen but the control scheme is being mentioned by everyone else in the previews too. I played the old team ico games and know their their controls are not automated like most games and it actually takes effort and skill to even make a normal jump. But this is 2016 and they've played the game while we have not.

Thats the thing though , since when is non-automated == bad game? there needs to be difficulty. Like if a noob plays Dark Souls he will say controls are bad and unresponsive.

I hate all the automated platforming every modern game has , you just hold front and the character does everything.

  2. Person with only say 10 days to go to become 18...won't be able to play the adult version....I mean there is not much difference between 17 and 18...

It is to do with Mature vs Adult rating , something with the ESRB and censorship. I know there isnt a big gap in age but thats how censor boards work. I remember Manhunt had this problem because Nintendo didnt want Adult game on Wii but M rated game was ok.

  3. Capcom will be releasing two versions of RE7 in Japan. The regular version for retail (Cero D, ages 17+), and the Grotesque version (Cero Z, ages 18+) that will be even more intense for digital download

    Adult only Rating Wow....

And all that in VR ... Am out.

  4. This game was so awesome.

I dont remember if i played this on PC or PS1.

Swinging from building to building felt so awesome back then. The game was absolutely epic. You could use lot of stealth as well, hanging on the roof and killing your enemies.

This game had a sequel as well i guess, i have played 1 more version of spiderman on PS1

Yea the mechanics were solid and fun. There was also Spiderman 2 ,thats the sequel you are talking about.

  5. This gem came out 16 years back on this day. While its not comparable to some of the great titles mentioned here , it is arguably one of the best Superhero game for its time (*cough* Superman 64 time *cough* )

Played this on my Dreamcast. It still holds the record for the fastest game I have finished on my first play through. Its small like an arcade game but it lacks the difficulty so I just sat and finished in like 2 hours Lmao. Playing as Spiderman was super fun though.

Its been a while since a good spoderman game , Cant wait to play the PS4 one.

  6. The funny part is , nowadays it is actually easier to take risks. Game development is more streamlined with tools like UE4 and digital only releases have made it easier to release titles as well. But still you wont see publishers like Capcom do stuff like they used to. Everybody wants to make a big AAA thing or go bankrupt.

Strider was a decent attempt. I guess its also the dev team size , they use up pretty much all their staff for the big AAA titles.

  7. Today marks 15 years of the most stylish game series ever.

The game that defined the 3D hack-n-slash genre and Sword, combat and gameplay mechanics that would be mimicked by many games nearly a decade later. And if that wasnt enough it had one of the most iconic characters , Dante.

DMC3 is my favorite in the entire franchise , simply put it did everything right. The pacing and the Vergil boss fights and how it progresses both the difficulty and Dante as a character was just perfect. Spent countless hours on this game the combat is just so damn fun. Very few single player games can even compare to the amount of depth DMC3 has.

  8. It was 3 freakin minutes >__>

I cant be converting time zones that accurately everytime.

I sometimes still boot my PS2 to play this game. Playing road rage in some of the city tracks was insane fun.

The sequel to this game, Burnout Revenge was excellent as well.

Too bad, Burnout franchise is almost dead and Criterion are no longer working on racing games.

I wish they release remaster of this and Revenge.

Sadly arcade racers are dead. It seems like people wont pay $60 unless there is some huge content or story or some sh*t , even if 90% of time they wont even finish the game. Its sad because all the Arcadeish fun games like burnout get relegated to the $30 budget game section. A game is worth $60 if its fun. And companies like EA dont care about $30 games they will never really invest much into it :(

  9. I actually wanted to make this post a few days back when the Series was celebrating its 25th anniversary. But damn its been 25 Years since the release of STREETS OF RAGE aka BARE KNUCKLE

There is just something special about 2 player Arcade brawlers , Its a feeling you simply dont get playing online these days. Playing with your friend or bro right next to you and taking down those waves of enemies. Ofc there is also the occasional fight over who gets the weapons :P.

This game was just something else back then. The gameplay holds up so well even up to modern standards. IMO I think it was the definitive brawler even better than Final Fight and Double Dragon. Man I hope Sega can take a break from Yakuza and bring SOR. The engine has similar fighting mechanics to SOR anyway , just remove the RPG stuff and change the setting.

The OST was also stuff of legends.
