Yea their smart life app is clearly white label, but it's fully functional and has never given me any issues. Plus the Alexa and GA integration means you don't really need to use it for anything more than setup. Let me know how you get on with adding it to the integrator platform. I have 6 of those smart battens, so I've fully bought in Awesome stuff! But isn't adding a smart plug (or behind the switch button as in your case) for an AC or Geyser a bad way to power those things down? It feels like you're just cutting off power which may hurt them in the long run? This probably is less an issue with geysers, though. More so ACs. Yea, those battens are great. I've been recommending them to everyone

If anyone's looking for a smart outdoor security camera, I recently picked this one up: https://www.amazon.in/Qubo-Detection-Weatherproof-Continuous-Recording/dp/B08NWXZ4N7/ Real easy to set up, and it's just cool pulling a live view up on the OLED via an Echo

Have you looked at the Binge+ box? That has bluetooth functionality.

@HundredProofSam, I think there's actually a hub thing for the smart lightstrip that you need to plug into your TV to get it to sync with the on-screen action. I like this channel, btw. Plenty of simple automation tips and tricks. Also, Wipro may not be as outright sexy as Philips Hue, but I highly recommend their bulbs, battens, and switches if you're looking to automate a majority of the lights in your home. Works out super cheap, no hub needed, and they haven't failed on me yet (touch wood). I also don't think anyone else makes smart battens, but that may have changed now.

Nah, why ruin how good it looks?

Panasonic sells smart ACs, btw! Just saying! -
Excellent thread! I'm kinda locked into the Wipro ecosystem - multiple smart LED battens, smart switches, and smart bulbs - all controlled, scheduled, and routine-ized over mobile, nest hubs, and echo shows. Unfortunately, I don't think Wipro does smart LED strips. Which ones are you using?

I'll try and verify this

DTS is a minor issue for sure, but remember that it won't be a long term one if you end up getting a soundbar or A/V receiver because they'll process your audio instead. The CX has decent enough audio, but it won't come anywhere close to a dedicated setup. I'd say the Samsung not having Dolby Vision is a much bigger deal.

NICE! Models and prices? -
Exactly. It's the most obvious thing ever. That story doesn't even make sense as clickbait.

I'd pay 30K, tbh Also, those codecs are pretty basic if you're watching HQ streaming or blu-rays. Not so much if those are not your specific use cases and if it's just games. And even with games, the new consoles can output bitstream as well as Atmos. Just things to keep in mind.

Might not even have the nit bump based on LG's CES announcements. Only G series is apparently getting the brighter screen, but I suppose things could change late in the process depending on how desperate they are. Edit: Late

And doesn't get you much either. No Dolby TrueHD or Atmos, No DTS-HD or DTS-X. I'm sure it'll sound good, but is it 80K good?

All true, but then you're veering dangerously close to receiver territory in terms of pricing. And a receiver does go much, much further in terms of features, utility, and modularity (you can upgrade just your center channel, for instance), especially if the concealed wiring provisions are already set up Yours is really convenient, though. -

Use the time to find a Cat6 cable You'll need it to transfer data from your PS4 to PS5. Takes a couple of hours, but will save you from having to re-download everything. No Type C cable in the box either, and you'll need one to connect the controller to the console during the initial setup. -

I called around this time too. It hit my final delivery station at 4pm yesterday. I waited till 6pm and thought I'll just call them randomly. Might as well try types. Didn't think they would actually come at 9pm to hand it over, so they might actually get to yours later for all we know. I don't think they were planning to delivery mine yesterday, tbh. The guy who came in the end brought it on his two wheeler. Massive box -
Probably easier with ducting in apartments, right? At least the main cable is solid. How much are you paying for Gigabit, btw? I think ACT wants 5999 (taxes excluded) here in Bangalore
-
Can fiber cables withstand a lot of physical stress, though? The way our guys run cables over poles and houses, I don't think fiber would last very long
-
You'll walk that back once you give the new controller a try.

Might want to call them and get things moving unless you're not in a hurry. -
This is just me, but I don't think you should go out looking for trouble if there isn't anything obviously visible. I'm not babying my TV either, leaving it paused as I always do, and I watch a lot of news channels which is apparently also a bad thing. I wouldn't worry. If there eventually are problems, it'll likely pop up when it's time for another upgrade anyway. Just seeing stuff running on these OLEDs is something else, so just proper enjoy it How much are store quoting for the 65CX now btw?

I just called them and asked them to prioritize delivery when I saw that it had reached the final delivery station. Seemed like it was worth a try. I didn't expect them to actually come through, especially after the pre-order nonsense everyone had to go though -

Better to call them! They'll send a note to the delivery guys and ask them to deliver it on priority.
