Yes. Day 1 disc issue patient here. The disc would ooze out on it's own in the middle of the night, even when the console was fully shutdown. I first thought my house was haunted by a drunk ghost. You remember the fix of loosening/removing the rubber feet that was flying back then?
Did that actually work?

First casualty in PS5. Demon' Soul stopped working on my PS5 for some reason. It is stuck at main screen forever. Tried closing and restarting the game but that didn't work. Now, i am installing the game again but install speed is painfully slowly. It is slower than the speed of the update that it is downloading from the server. Other games, without disk, are working fine.
The PS4 had disc issues as well for a lot of people, and from teardowns, it's pretty clear they're using the same OEM/model. Interesting.

I'm happy seeing everyone in this thread finally getting their consoles. Or on the way. Close enough

Flipkart trying to convince lads to cancel their orders, ?? Seriously how low can you droop.
Something is up for sure, enough with this drip feeding charade
Wait, what's this about? I thought Flipkart shipped all their orders by now!

PS5 and Sackboy now “preparing for dispatch”
Wait, we've all had that status for the last 3 days. What was yours showing?

Now gimme Pursuit Force.

Lol, Pursuit Force was the best thing ever

Pretty much. For what it's worth, I spoke to a nice chap on Amazon's executive escalations team and they're apparently looking into it. The thing is Amazon's such a maze, that they'll probably just ship the order before a random team gets through to another random team.

On the flip side:
1. Spider-Man 2 and Bluepoint's acquisition by Sony are going to get greenlit purely based on early sales from India
2. New 5k game price point is validated thanks to the demand on launch
You missed the "/s" there

This also reminds me of the Series X pre-order situation. Those weren't sent out at once either.

My Theory - I think there is stock but for whatever reason they aren't shipping it yet. Maybe waiting for it to reach all FCs or not a priority because of 11th last date.
Somehow placing an order for a PS5 related product is tricking their system into pushing the 2 products as one order because the timeline for the 2nd product is not restricted by the same rules that are being applied to the PS5.
Also probably why this trick has not worked in the South (no cases as far as I can see)This is probably accurate. I don't think they've shipped to anyone in the south from what I can tell, and karooo is probably the only one from Mumbai who got lucky. That said, I have no clue why they didn't just send these out to their regional fulfillment hubs, or even just ship them at once from NCR if that's where they all are. Makes me wonder if they're with Amazon at all, or with a third party logistics company Sony partnered with, and who's drip feeding stock or something.

There were issues with people using external HDD which led to bricking the console.
If you wanna use it then update the System software and Dualsense firmware and all game updates first before playing anything.
Thanks, man! I have two external HDDs filled up so I'll make sure everything's updated first.

If you have an external HDD from PS4 with all those games loaded then it is simple plug and play with some games needing a small patch.
Okay that's good news, thanks man! I was afraid I'd need to re-download separate PS4 Pro versions of all of my base PS4 games

-
Question for anyone moving games from a base PS4 to a new PS5:
Did you need to re-download new, PS4 Pro versions of games (GoW, RDR2, Death Stranding, etc.), or do the base PS4 versions only need a smaller patch?

I actually canceled my pre-order copy of Fifa 18 and ordered one on launch day (which I got it the next day). The pre-ordered copy was still in prepation phase or something.
I hear ya. I've seen and done the same on other pre-orders. The sad part is they've had years to fix this issue too, but nope.

Cos money has been in account for sometime and they have already made money out of that money so the new money is more important then the old money, so priorotize new money over old money.

Yeah man, even I've noticed that before. Even with preorder games. Sadly we didn't have a choice this time.
Yep, they do this with every pre-order. It's like they actually de-prioritise them

Mine is still on preparing for dispatch.
Same. Something I've noticed with Amazon is their pre-order shipments arrive slower than if you wait and order on launch day

My pre-ordered Sony XM4s arrived two day after launch, whereas I had next day delivery before 11am available to me if I had just waited and ordered on launch day. Their pre-order system is poorly optimized.

I'm seeing a preparing for dispatch status on Amazon as well.

What about a small sized room about 100-200 sqmts?
You can't leave it on 24/7 so the same applies. Dust settles fast, and India is dusty as heck.

The irony of saying that about Microsoft who have a big kinect shaped skeleton in their cupboard

Not with the levels of dust we see here in India and especially not in bigger rooms, at least from my experience. Dust settles on surfaces fast, and you can't leave the purifier on 24/7 to catch everything - or else you'll be burning money on consumables (filters in this case). Look for high CADR and CFM rating models if you want to cover bigger rooms.

I got one from Croma on the launch day. There was a small f**k up when my account was not associated with the order but got everything fixed (Thanks to Croma support team. Really fast). Please add me to the list. I'm from Coimbatore, TN btw.
Done! Keep us posted on your store pick-up experience.

I'm in that maze level, and the game has been building up very good so far. Also, that split screen is not everywhere and only in some sections, other times its mostly single world/single screen. Also, I read some ppl comparing this with Heavy Rain, its nothing like that lol. Heavy Rain was more of a non-linear choice driven QTE game, this is more of a puzzle solving game sans any choice / QTE. Apart from the fact that both games use fixed camera angles & have limited gameplay options, there's nothing similar.
I thought that maze section might be the end because the story suddenly took over big time. Lots of plot, etc.

Hehe ok will forget Dolby Atmos ...dunno much about it anyways....just I've heard that it sounds good
Will search good quality ones with hdmi e-arc port n stuff. Thanks
But if you guys can suggest a good one within 30k ....please do

That Yamaha looks good, but it also looks like it's DTS only for some reason. You ideally want DTS and Dolby both. I like the Alexa compatibility on it, though.
ARC is useful so you can "passthrough" audio from all devices plugged into your TV though a single cable to the soundbar. However, ARC doesn't support lossless audio and will compress formats such as Atmos and DTS-X. For the best experience, make sure all pieces in your A/V set-up work with each other over the same standard. For example, pairing an eArc capable TV with an eArc Atmos Soundbar will give you uncompressed Atmos. Pairing a HDMI 2.1 TV with a HDMI 2.1 console will get you 4K/120. Mix and match to your needs based on budget and how much you want to future proof.
Any reason you aren't looking at standard Samsung or LG? They're decent too, and you may be able to get a demo at Croma or a brand store

The Home Appliances Thread - Poore ghar ke badal daalo

I suppose the main reason anyone would look at a UPS at all is because of inverter switchover delay. It's really annoying, and happens randomly for some reason.
Are there any inverters that don't have this delay? @Shantz @Bird Bird Bird or @kunjanp?
