Yea, Dolby will hand out certifications to anyone these days. Even cheapo TVs are Dolby Vision certified now The Atmos label on these soundbars just means they're able to read/decode an Atmos audio track. But *expressing* true Atmos once it's decoded requires downward firing ceiling speakers and a good set of drivers in your regular surround speaker set up or soundbar. What these cheaper soundbars try to do instead is have a couple of upward firing speakers to bounce sound from the ceiling. I'm not sure that's very effective, so might want to look at general audio quality instead rather than expecting a really good Atmos experience.

Excellent price, and it looks amazing on the PS4. Enjoy

If the industry needed consolidating, I'd rather MS than Amazon. Clueless... https://kotaku.com/bloomberg-report-reveals-major-dysfunction-at-amazon-ga-1846160018

@Assassins Creed, yea I sat around waiting for it to load until I realized I needed to press the button too The story's great so far but need to see how it plays out. The game could use some serious patching, though. I get some random rainbow colored artifacts on screen sometimes, almost like Christmas lights

Played half of it co-op. It's great and the action's non-stop The co-op difficulty is crazy, btw. It really ramps it up for the boss fights. Feels really unbalanced, lol. On Gears 5, I thought the open world stuff was a nice change. It's good that they gave you the choice of just skipping everything and going straight to the story mission, but it was nice to explore a bit and find smaller stories. Did you dislike the other open-world levels too?

This is true. I think that screenshot may be from one of the later games where they decided to try that new-fangled 3D graphics thing everyone's into all of a sudden I remember trying Still Life but never got around to finishing it. Microids released a game based on the Blacksad comic series last year (excellent read if anyone's into comics). Very similar gameplay again. It's a very European style, and most small studios that specialize in adventure games are in Europe. The closest Western US analogue would be the Telltale games, I guess.

Yea, that was really cheesy. I couldn't even get past the first few minutes, and it looks so similar to the Division that I'm probably not missing much either.

Yea, the intro credits and prologue were really well done! This game clearly isn't for everyone, though. It's more an adventure game very similar to Bloober's other titles, so that should've been the expectation all along. Has anyone played the Syberia series of adventures games? It really reminded me of that, perhaps because of the protagonist and the almost pre-rendered nature of the backgrounds.

I kind of enjoyed the horror elements in 1. The action in the later games is great (probably tried to emulated the Uncharted games), but first had a really nice tone/balance to it. And yea, the series peaked with 2 and 3. Did you play 5? It's the best Gears has been in a decade, and looks great on the SX.
-
So the series takes a hard swerve toward action from the second game on. The horror in the horror action you mentioned takes a back seat, unfortunately.

Thumb rule: ALL Yakuza games are good. Even Dead Souls

Okay, I clearly don't remember any of the backtracking. Thank you, selective memory and nostalgia. I mostly remember the in-apartment stuff. Close enough to P.T. that I wonder if Kojima ever played SH4, lol. And I had a few GameFaqs guides printed out too, but for JA-only pro-wrestling games. King of Colosseum 2, Wrestle Kingdom, etc. But let's not go down that rabbit hole

Yep, it feels like Bloober (in general) draws a lot from the SH games - especially the pacing. The Room was really underrated back when it launched. Not sure a lot of people played it, unfortunately. And I loved the first person sections. Just goes to show how ahead of the game Team Silent was.

Damn..

But it's also a slower-paced exploration game. I don't even know/think there's combat or fast-paced action, so it shouldn't be an issue gameplay-wise.

Official PlayStation Plus thread

Favorable consumer laws in the largest markets (US/UK/EU/AU, etc.). I'm sure they would've liked to avoid the refund if they could too They probably also have breakers built in. If returns for a product cross 8% (just a guess), it gets pushed up as a potential product issue.- 2204 replies

Damn, I never got this. How/where exactly did you trigger it?

Yea, I'm on 250Mbps/3.3TB with ACT. It's more than sufficient, EXCEPT when you're trying to download those 80-100 GB games.
