  1. They probably did some outsource work for Quantum Break. They might have a long relationship with MS, which is how the got the Flight Sim project.

Well, that Metacritic score is pretty typical for Bloober team. Hopefully the smaller sites didn't expect a fancy AAA game and then score it low when they realized what it actually was :/
  3. I don't think it matters when your quarterly net is $15B. They brought in as much in a quarter as Alphabet does. Microsoft is diversified enough that they can play the long game on a number of these smaller business units (like Xbox) without needing to look at immediate profits. Why else would they keep the Surface line alive for so long.
  4. I don't think any subscription service has put out royalty numbers. We do know something about Spotify from disgruntled artists, but most devs/pubs (at least for the moment) seem to be happy with Game Pass - which in turn probably means they're not exactly profitable.
  5. Pretty much this. !080p can look close-enough to 4K (unless you're pixel peeking on purpose) with the right upscaling.
  6. Yea, I don't recall if permadeath was ever confirmed. I assumed it was just a fake out. And I think Senua was played by a random Ninja Theory employee or something. They had regular video updates on YouTube before launch detailing just how you make a game of that scale on a small budget. Pretty cool stuff
  7. Wait, you keep trumotion on? And you don't mind the soap opera look everything has?
  8. Rightly? The 'walking sim" term is just silly. I get that slower-paced, story-heavy experiences aren't for some people, but I for one have no problem playing a Journey, Firewatch, Death Stranding, or Edith Finch. This is just as good for the right audience.
  9. He look super sharp, though. It looked even till R2, until the calf kicks killed his movement. Dan Hooker was the big disappointment of the night. He didn't look himself at all!
  10. Same. LP3 is supposed to be excellent, btw. Check it out if you haven't already. I think it has a small cult fanbase now.
  11. Okay, free free-to-play is huge. I wonder if Sony and Ninty will follow? Hmmm.
  12. That demo ended slightly disappointingly, imo.
  13. It's really atmospheric, so you're (ideally) in it for the story, acting, music, etc. And if you're interested in Norse and Celt history.
  14. Keep trying. Each CS rep is different, so you'll eventually land up speaking up to a good one.
  15. Flipkart and RetailNet probably have the common investors but function as separate companies, unfortunately. The holding patterns are convoluted, mostly to get around India's FDI rules. For instance, Cloudtail is owned by company that's a JV between Amazon and Catamaran Ventures (owned by Infosys founder Narayana Murthy). Long story short, direct selling would probably have allowed for more accountability.
  16. It isn't bad at all if you're looking to eat healthier. Just remember that there's a bit of maintenance involved - mostly just washing the basket thing.
  17. Cleaning it can be a pain too, but it does reduce oil use. Just a light brush is all that's needed.
  18. Exactly. I decided to buy a bunch of smaller games instead (Hades, Teardown, Disc Room, Later Alligator, The White Door, and Beautiful Desolation), which actually ended up costing me more. Steam Blades of the Shogun was actually on game pass too, btw. Mid 2020, I think.
  19. Are the ray tracing + other next gen enhancements coming to the game pass version too? And yea, I had Desperados 3 in my Steam cart during the winter sale. Good thing I didn't check out
  20. For what it's worth, I ordered a PS4 copy (PS5 upgradable) of Miles Morales a couple of weeks ago from Cloudtail and got a legit sealed box, I think there's also a bit of luck involved. Also, does anyone know if PS4 Spiderman (+season pass) saves carry over to the PS5 remaster?
