Yea, it just flies even on normal. At least it doesn't make you redo the whole sequence if/when you do fail, and it clears the mess you built up when you restart. Small mercies.

PSA: Anyone with a CX and SX, make sure you calibrate everything as best you can (both SX and TV) and just play Tetris Effect first. This is exactly why you spend on good tech. The quality of everything you're seeing on screen is just insane!

Nah, anything by Excel is perfectly safe and very high quality. Just order them off Amazon. A few of us here have built very good libraries off of just Amazon (and Flipkart back in the day) I also have people carry titles that aren't locally available over from the US/UK, but I'd say 75% of my library is locally sourced (and published by Excel). And I get why you'd be turned off. I ordered one PVR blu back when they launched and set up an Amazon return as soon as the it started playing. It was awful, lol. I wish everyone did this in general :/

Yea, I still can't believe they banked their whole launch on just Halol: Infinite. Good thing there's Game Pass and a few third party games, or else.. And The Medium is from a studio that hasn't done a AAA game before, so it's probably very similar to some of their past releases - Layers of Fear or The Observer. Will likely be good, but it's no competition for a Demon's Souls or Miles Morales. I like me a blockbuster launch Sit back and watch us beta testers at work. General PSAs: - The console will re-download series x enhanced versions of games to the SSD even if you have already have them downloaded on your last-gen machines. Do NOT download anything in advance. - Download speeds seem lower than last-gen for most owners. I'm not sure if it's just holiday buyers clogging the pipes, or if they've lowered bandwidth allocation to India based on average country internet speeds so they can use the excess bandwidth in other more important regions. Account for a day to download series x enhanced games. I was able to do ~300 gigs overnight.

Yep - And the phone setup happened while the box was updating itself, so you weren't sitting around just watching the bar move. Pretty cool user experience-wise. Shame the interface is 99.9% the same as the old systems, though. I won't be able to tell this thing's new until I can actually run some games :/

Also, the thing is tiiiiiiiiiiiny. I wasn't expecting it to be this small. It also immediately recognized and populated 2TB of game pass games on two external HDDs, and started updating 15 of them. Fair warning so people are prepared for a long wait

Exactly. My One S downloads were always super fast, but these are pretty slow. I wonder if it's just their servers getting hammered during the holidays. I tried cable, but there wasn't much of a difference from WiFi speeds :/

Changed mine to 10 bit with ALL, VRR, etc. on, but haven't tried any games yet. I don't think the CX panel supports 12 bit, so I didn't bother switching to it. Not sure if I'm getting that wrong. I wanted to get all the downloads out of the way before I actually played anything.

I had mine on two external HDDs. The One S to HDD transfer wasn't too bad. And yea, I don't think I'll be playing anything anytime soon. Most Game Pass games seem to need an update. I picked up Dirt 5 and Valhalla to try 4K120, but that's a combined 150 gig download lol. It's nice to see the TV check all the boxes, though. Literally everything's got a green tick against it

Yea, they have almost no access to any usable information themselves or to internal teams who can provide any information to them. It's pretty bad.
