  1. All those movies are simpleton movies :| Ghost in the shell universe is very complex, those the the last ppl who should handle such movie :fear:

I smell a lot of sarcasm here.

Anyways for gits I prefer the original movie

Good nose :| It's very hard to pick a favorite, personally. Innocence, SAC and 2nd Gig are also equally good.

Anime will probably never be as good again. All we get now is shallow otaku pandering nonsense.

  2. Still hoping for dfgt support :(

Confirmed there's no dfgt support? But it's the most popular wheel around :/

Edit: First person racing genre

  3. That's the Catch-22 situations with mysteries though. They grab the attention of the audience during the initial phase but after that stage, it's downhill 90% of the time.

1)If answers are given, the entire aura of the mystery and focal point of the mystery is gone.

2)If answers aren't given, the mystery is kept open but it's simply unsatisfying for the audience.

I give the film an 8.5/10. It has its high points but I hate the tonal imbalance; it felt like the film was having an identity crisis and didn't know whether it wanted to be a straight-up sci-fi or horror.

Something tells me it would still be middling even if it stuck to a single tone. The direction and performances were real shady. Maybe it was the script, or maybe Ridley Scott is just past it.

Nice to see another fan of the Anthology blu-ray set, though. It's one of the highlights of my collection.

  4. What correlation is this?

BioShock INFINITE was in the AMD bundle, so were titles like DIRT 2 and 3.

Well, you know what happened to Irrational. And Codemasters are a shell of their former selves :/

  5. It's a TV show. It's not going to have the budget for movie like effects that take a year of post production to get right. Same goes for the acting... they have to film 5 movies worth of content in a less than a year. I mean you don't have to like it but it is what it is, and it's nowhere near unwatchable.

Of course! My posts are purely IMHO :)

Still, there's plenty of decently acted TV around these days so it loses points in comparison. And shows like Boardwalk Empire, GoT and the Walking Dead have excellent effects work, as does Vikings and Hannibal. Even C-tier shows like Extant, Almost Human and Agents of SHIELD look more than passable.

Standards for TV have definitely risen, so much so that I'm finding more interesting shows I want to watch than I am movies.

  6. Delhivery are awful at handling packages as well. I had to have Bookadda replace a massive hardcover book because the Delhivery guys threw it around and damaged the corners. Bookadda were kind enough to arrange an immediate replacement and have the bad copy picked up though, so props to them.

    Beware of Delhivery.

  7. It's both really. It was surprisingly annoying to watch stuff in 4:3 for starters. But more importantly... it's just old now. From a time when standards for television and acting were much lower than they are now. So you have these awkward characters awkwardly standing around saying awkward sh*t. The Lynchian style steers away from charming and quaint to just absurd and pointless. Watch it again if you want.. I'm almost certain it will not live up to your memories of it and it doesn't really find a place in world post Breaking Bad for example.

I personally enjoy it, which is why I caveat-ed my original comment with "if you enjoy old shows". The X-Files is pretty similar in nature. The acting and dialogue doesn't hold up as well as I thought it did back when it was airing, but it still has a certain charm to it.

Mileage will vary, but I personally look at them in isolation. They were fantastic for their time.

Fair Disclosure: I own the X-Files and Twin Peaks :P
