  1. Looks like they've also moved away from offering higher data plans. The max plan they're offering now is 100GB. Used to be 200GB earlier IIRC.

They also offered 2 Mbps post-FUP speeds with that 200 GB plan. That's been dropped to just 1 Mbps now.

I'm not complaining. I got bumped up from 15 Mbps/75 GB to 20 Mbps/85 GB for the same amount.

  2. impressions after 5 mins of play..Phone is with wife, don't need it. If i had bought it for myself, would have already put it on sale.

Very mediocre camera, heating up. Them bezels, it is tall. Enough for me to keep a phone aside. Office email not working, says phone compromised.

    Pro:

Screen is beautiful, and phone is fast.

    AirWatch?

  3. SIM slot takes standard size old school SIMs.

Those waiting for the Mi4 should probably buy the 3 and wait for a more significantly upgraded Mi5. And all phones heat up when playing graphically intensive games. Why is this a surprise? :/

  4. @keyfox: The MI4 is specifically stated as sporting the Snapdragon 801 while the MI3 is specifically stated as having the Snapdragon 800 (despite the AB designator).

Don't worry though. I'm sure the old tech in the 3 will last a while.

Yup, it's perfectly fine. No percievable lag when I used it this morning. And it isn't like my dad needs an 801 :P

  5.

mi3 has old variant of 800.

Mi4 should not only have 1gb of extra ram but 801 with LTE, 8mp front, quick charge (i believe charging in mi3 is painfully slow) and THAT stainless steel body.

So the version in the Mi3 is technically an 801 if you go by Qualcomm's nomenclature. I think it's an 8274-AB. Have they specified the Mi4 SoC model?

  6. Mi4 20k potential. Definite upgrade from my g2 for me. Could release in India earlier than expected. On the verge of cancelling mi3 order.

Don't bother. The Mi3 already has a Snapdragon 801. The only thing you gain as far as I can see is the 1 extra GB of RAM.

  7. So my phone was sent via some idiotic Delhivery courier. Went from Whitefield to Yelahanka, and now the hub close to my place is waiting for it to reach them. They said today evening (maybe) else tomorrow definite delivery.

    This is within Bangalore.

    For a Flipkart First customer.

Weird. Are you going to ask them why they picked Delhivery when you're a Flipkart First member? I think you should grill them on it.

FWIW, I got mine at 9 AM in Bangalore.

  8. At the same time, I don't like all this exclusivity that's going Flipkart's way. Needs to be some competition.

There is competition, sort of. Jolla went with Snapdeal. And I think Lava always goes with Snapdeal as well.
