It seems the Indian bowling lineup took it to their heart the way people spoke about them after last match so they wrote their own script after losing the toss!
-
It's been ordinary bowling effort from India. Rohit looks like is still in WC hangover and out of ideas!
On a good bowling pitch, they have not bowled consistent line and length. Prasidh is highly overrated for sure.

Merry Christmas everyone!

while rcb decided to let go off hazlewood and got some faraziari for 11.5 crores, they splurged on Hasaranga last season, this time they did not want to bid at 1.5 cr also. Retained sarfaraz when no one knew him and today when he is scoring well did not even bid at 20 lacs, these guys smoke some of the best weed in market. They have spent 55 crores on 4 players out of which 3 are overseas.
No wonder!!
Australians getting so much in IPL is beyond stupidity. While no doubt they command a very good price but 20 and 25 cr is beyond stupidity.
This has to be one of the worst auction from RCB in recent times! Leaving out Hazzlewood, Harshal and Hasaranga and getting ordinary bowlers in place of them.
The best spinner RCB has is Maxwell ( please do not bring up Karn Sharma
) and the best day bowler is Topley/Siraj. Each one of the bowlers will get slaughtered in Chinnaswamy pitch.
Yash Dayal is the only saving grace but even he will not play like he did for GT (This is the trend with RCB).
What was surprising was RCB did not even bid for good bowlers or allrounders such as Thakur, Sakariya, Umesh or even Hasaranga or Mujib.
What is the point of going after foreign fast bowlers when most of slots are already filled.
Seriously both Cummins and Starc were overpaid by 2 times!!

Bumrah and Surya both seemed to be pretty much pissed with this move. Think this debacle will backfire on MI. Hardik is not a likeable character at all and is unfit most of the times. If Surya/bumrah end up captaining the T20 squad next year and by some miracle end up winning the T20 wc too then hardik will be shown his place.
Exactly. On the day of news of Hardik Pandya transfer, Bumrah's social media post showed the disappointment and today SKY's tweet clearly showed disappointment again.
SKY is currently captaining national team and Bumrah has done it in the past. It would have been still okay if Pandya was with MI all this time but that is not the case.

Hardik Pandya to be new MI captain in IPL .
Unbelievable to say the least! Sharma can play IPL at least another 3 years easily and Pandya already has captaincy experience.
The transfer and now this is turning into a mess!

I also feel manipulation on viewer data! Currently 7.5Cr views on this cr*p match where Indian bowlers are getting hammered whereas WC Final highest number was 5.9Cr and Hotstar made WC free for mobiles.

A) Looks amazing. Hyped
B ) Poora plot reveal kar diya. Kyun bc ?A. The background music sounds amazing.
B. That is most of the Indian movie trailers are made to reveal pretty much everything but there are some aspects which were not revealed/cleverly hidden I believe.
Looking at the duration of the movie, screenplay hopefully is good and editing is on point otherwise it would turn out boring for the audience.

LOL. Hurts to be in many incorrect and least predictions after leading the board initially.
The last incorrect match result hurt the most and still not able to recover.
@bharat_SS great work on conducting this and updating tables almost instantly!! It was super fun to play this.

Shivam dubey's bowling and washington sundar's batting has not been upto the mark. Lets see. Also rohit sharma is playing the t20wc and so we virat kohli and jadega. We all know this is going to happen right before the world cups.
And KL will play too.

Bench: Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan
Perfect playing 11, 4 Batsmen, 1 Wk, 3 all rounder, 3 Bowlers. They should not make any changes now to the squad till the upcoming T20WC. Let's see what these youngsters will do.
Why bench Tilak Varma? He has temperament, he has proved recently including Asian games and he can bowl a bit.

He wasnt good in last ipl too. There is a reason DC let him go. Plus he has same symptoms as Siraj. Can't handle pressure. And we need bowlers who can bat in white ball cricket. Especially t20 shouldn't have any place for bowlers who can't hit a few.
Yeah there is no way any team can win T20 WC if they do not have good allrounders with bowlers who can bat and batsmen who can bowl.

Isn't Avesh Khan overrated? Every time he plays for India he fails to land those wide yorkers which he is famous for in death overs but those skills come back in IPL.
Sai Sudarshan and Tewatia should have also been given a chance (specially instead of Dubey).

all this talks, India plays Australia for T20 series starting Thursday and stadiums will be full again, BCCI will count money and say now wait for T20 WC.
On top of that this is the condition of selectors that a series with Aus in 3 days from now and the team has yet not been announced. I understand 15 players are playing WC and are busy but what are selectros sleeping on, such sorry state sometimes.
Kohli and KL rahul should be kept out of T20 setup forever, ROhit ideally was also a candidate, but he has shown promise and with his leadership skills and unselfish game play I hope they retain him as captain for T20 and he gets one last chance to win a WC trophy next year.
So true! I hope selectors are clear now whom to select for T20s. Both KL & Kohli has to go and even if Sharma however T20 WC is only 6 months away so there is no point to change the captain if he continues to play like he did in this WC. I hope they select youngsters and stick with them!

What learning.
BCCI is busy counting IPL Money all year long. Rest of the time they are busy in politics.
Selectors are idiotic as usual and select players only on basis of IPL for every format, even tests.
Coach and Captain will select team only on basis of favoritism and not on basis of form. Newcomers only warm benches even if they perform better than people getting selected.
Players earns in crores and least bothered to play domestic and iron out their flaws. They don't have time to play domestic and improving their game but have ample time to do ads all year long along with playing precious ipl for 2 months.
This has been going on since way long and will continue. Only fans care who actually pay with their wallet and time to watch these guys and get disappointed again and again.
Trust me. Rinse and repeat will go on.
That is bit harsh on selectors, coach and captain!
Most of the players were selected and given a run based on their performance in both domestic and their international exposure. Both Gill and Siraj were best ODI batsmen and bowler from 2022 onwards (as their numbers suggest). Iyer in the middle over is proven performer and very good against spin (which was critical for this WC) and has great numbers as a middle order batsman, the only doubt was on Rahul which he proved very well in Asia cup so it was fair call, Rohit and Kohli were automatic selections. Of course SKY was definitely a weak selection being trump card and never clicked entire year; he would have not played if Pandya was fit. If you followed what Dravid and Sharma kept saying last 6 months, they were very clear who the 13 players will be and literally 9 players were in full form by the time finals started except SKY and to some extent Siraj.
Ishan has not done anything great against good teams except that Pakistan match in Asia cup and we had no middle order batsmen. As we have seen previously newcomers may not handle WC pressure as well as you think (case in point, Varun Chakrovarthy, Arshadeep Singh in both T20 WCs recently and Zaheer in 03 finals and even Gill yesterday where he has played two IPL finals on the same ground and had stellar year in ODIs and this is his favourite ground. The main culprit of course is BCCI. Unlike how Stokes/Starc/Cummins decided to not play IPL and prioritise international cricket, our cricketers are forced to play even if they do not want to as BCCI as employer forces them. This was clearly evident this year when Sharma was asked about WTC finals within a week of IPL final and his response that franchises need to help players out (which they won't obviously once again for money).
However nothing will change as you said unless BCCI changes the mentality of not only going after money and caring for Indian fans!

The pitch was not good and one sided, the way it slowed down in the afternoon compared to evening was so drastic.
All WC matches in this venue are won while chasing except England match and they too could have won if batted smartly. They lost only by 30 runs with still overs left.
Every team has struggled to bat well in the afternoon and this was when winter was just starting and now temperatures have settled down, it is even more evident that toss was big factor.
BCCI/ICC money obsession will never help. Teams should be given fair chance to complete by providing similar conditions and if this venue was to host the match, we should have a day match instead of day and night. But nothing will change anyways!

I don't think that was a genuine response. He even paused for a second before gathering his words.
