  1. Saas Bahu aur flamingo. One of the only few hotstar originals I have liked so far.
  2. Bairstow himself tried to the same to Marnus in the second innings of same test.
  3. The captaincy removal was never going happen knowing how BCCI works!! Jaiswal is in team though. Surprised that Sarfaraz still didn't get a nod ahead of Gaikwad/Jaiswal. Rahane becoming VC was just to acknowledge his contribution in Finals and no one established is playing in middle order at the moment (No Pant & Iyer, BCCI cannot make Ashwin/Jadeja for VC). But Sarfaraz has better average and more FC matches compared to Gaikwad though.
  4. This would be everyone's reaction including mine and this may still come back at to haunt them however it looks like England have so much clarity on what they want to do, that carefree attitude is helping them. How would you otherwise explain their bowling performance today when Australia was 338 for 5 and still ending up trailing by 7 runs?. On such a flat wicket with 30+ over ball, England still managed to take out 5 wickets (although tail enders) with sheer planning, having fielding setup for their plans. It looks like there are truly sticking to what Stokes said before Ashes that they want to entertain no matter the results!!
  5. All said and done considering match situation that was really poor shot from Kohli. He is not able to control the urge for one innings. The drive outside off has been his weakness from 2014 and still not able to manage for one innings.
  6. Yeah seriously! Going to tea break without a wicket loss would have sounded so much better. The pitch has not even started to anything, variable bounce is missing due to heavy roller used between the innings and swing has reduced significantly.
  7. Things will only change once he loses that too!
  8. How come so many experts in dressing room still cannot figure out how the pitch will play out? It's baffling to see Indian team constantly failing to determine nature of the pitch and selecting the team! We precisely lost last WTC for doing the exact opposite of this one!!
  9. It's so disappointing to see even our bowlers struggle now!! They look like one trick poneys.
  10. It shouldn't be a surprise. India does not have middle order batsman who have experience in England. Pant is injured, Iyer is also injured (I doubt he would have succeeded if they conditions were typical English). Bharat has not shown any confidence in they limited opportunity he has got. Rahane is both experienced and has technique to play in England.
  11. This has been the case for many years in IPL. Smaller boundaries combined with flat pitches, takes the fun away from watching.
  12. It has been great watching fringe international players in playing 11 in this IPL. The way Raza, Gulbaz and Little have played so far shows it means a lot to them. Hopefully the trend continues and we get to see more uncommon international players.
  13. And if the pitch was flat, not sure why they didn't play Kuldeep. Looks like 2021 Chennai match between Ind & Eng. Aussies will make 500+, India will get close to 400 and will eventually falter last day 4th innings.
  14. Yes true. On the first day of the tournament, it was in 4k but from second days onwards it's been only in full HD on my tv. Looks like false advertisement.
  15. Completely agree! I have never understood BCCI's obsession of debuting players in other formats just because player is good in one formats when the data suggests otherwise.
  16. That looked like clear message from Rohit to hit some runs! The second best batsman is left stranded twice in this match! I have not words what dressing people were thinking.
  17. Trying to hit out was clearly Rohit's message from dugout. That was really ordinary. How can someone who has almost played for so long not have match awareness is beyond me! First he sent Kishan with a message to try and score quick runs to Pujara and then he sent someone else again. There was no Dravid during all this discussion. Not bowling Ashwin entire first hour today, keeping the field spread in 2nd over of the innings were all Rohit's tactics. It is mind boggling to see this team not have any plan Bs & Cs.
  18. Yeah the no ball was last nail on the coffin! The scorecard would have been different at the end if that wicket was legit. Now the ball has gone soft, the only way to get back is if something drastic happens in first hour due to overnight moisture otherwise this is heading to embarrassing loss.
  19. That was just poor batting display after winning toss even though pitch is not conducive to batting . Their batters applied themselves better (this was possible because India bundled out for 109). It was also so evident our bowlers did not bowl right lengths. Jadeja and Ashwin bowling full tosses often in Indian conditions does not happen. In the second over of the Australia innings, we had fielders in boundaries. To add to that the desperate horrendous reviews!!
  20. That was one hell of a match! Even after that onslaught from first test and first innings of this match, to come back and bowl like that is truly impressive from Wagner.
  21. Absolutely! She was ball watching instead of looking at the crease. She would have made it is she was concentrating on running instead of ball watching. Shafali dropped Healy first over in 2020 WC finals! It was such a casual approach to take Mooney's catch! Ground fielding was horrible. Balls which were going straight to hands were missed, sliding on top of ball and not having body behind the ball are some of the rookie mistakes which costs Indians the match. It is same as watching men cricket teams in early 90s!
  22. Yesterday's match was such a heartbreak! So close yet so far. If only if they had match awareness in 19th over, they could have won the match. For the first time, I saw pressure in those invincible Aussies' eyes.
  23. I also fail to understand BCCI's fascination towards making every good player playing in all formats even if they are not suited for it. Why can't some players just play one or two formats which suits them. This is also to do with player maturity. Other boards and players seem to understand this and be content about it. In KL's case when it's obvious that he is struggling in tests, why can't board tell him to take a break, play some county or domestic matches and come back. Even KL knows his place is secure in ODIs and T20s.
  24. True. Backing him may mean backing him as test player in future but knowing BCCI and Indian team, they will still play him unless there is a perceived injury or niggle. However selectors literally have given a hint to not play him.
  25. He should have been sacked previously even before the sting operation. The fact is BCCI sh*t organization with zero professionalism, bureaucracy and no transparency. This has been case from long time and never improved. The fact that they changed the venue of 3rd test of a marque series in the middle of the series without even acknowledging the fans in their statement says a lot about them.
