    Hmm if I take bcom and can't complete CA in few years, I would be jobless :( I guess that won't be the case with ECE engg.

    They both are complete opposites. If you choose BCom, and then decide you don't like it, you have already wasted time and money. Same for Engg. Decide what you want first.

     

     

    Answer this, where do you see yourself 10 years from now? What was your aim in say 5th-6th std?

    Hmm I'm confused :( bcom with CA will take almost 5 years but bcom might be easy compared to engineering. Can't decide anything :fear1: I still donno what I'm interested in

    If you take bcom, then you are narrowing down your chances.

    Actually the phone is for my aunt. She is not much interested in samsung nor motorola. She has a old nokia feature phone. I wonder for a busget of 12k whuch phones can she get apart from the phones mentioned above. She wont buy any Chinese brands either & from a h/w perspective i am really sad that sony has no 720p phone in that price range.

    Why the discrimination against chinese brands / moto ? Moto G and the Mi4I are the best phones at this price.

    Which android manufacturers allow you to take backup of phone contacts & messages. I know Samsung does via kies pc software. Any other company that offers such simplicity ?

     

    I was looking for a phone with the above being one of the top priorities.

     

    PS - Cloud backup is not an option specifically looking for PC apps like Kies.

    If you use a google account, which I'm sure you will, and then add contacts, then they are already synced with google's cloud.

    Even if you choose not store the number on only the phone, stock android allows you to Import / Export to storage (either internal storage, or SD card).

     

    And for apps and other stuff, there's Helium. Again, choice between local phone storage and cloud.

     

     

    If your phone is rooted, then use Titamium Backup, which does everything, including wifi passwords, etc.

     

    I'm not sure if Helium does SMS. You can use SMS Backup and restore like Ambar said for this.

     

    Atleast with Android, software features should not be your only priority when choosing a phone. Choose a phone with good hardware, and for everything else, as the great saying goes "There's an app for that".

    Not really. There is a phone which has almost no bezels. Of course its not edge but it looked great. And they didn't charge much IIRC. I can't recall the name but its a new company I think.

     

    I am not talking about a bezel less screen. I am talking about a curved edged screen. Whether it's required or not, Samsung did it first, and will charge extra for it.

    I think they wanted to get rid of bezels from both sides and hence the edge. If that is the case, then no problem but they shouldn't charge for it.

     

    Why shouldn't they? they did something which no else even thought of doing. They will charge for it until everyone else does the same.

    Remember when Apple revolutionized the smartphone, and charged heaven and hell for it? They still haven't reduced the prices.
