  1. Roma win . A good defensive performance and I loved the way the defenders played the offside trap. Ibrahimovich was really furstrated towards the end :P. The goal was very lucky but then who cares? All that matters is that Roma now have a great chance to stay in the top 4 and who knows ... maybe a chance at winning the title if their second half of the season is just like the way their second half went in the 2009/10 season when they had some 24 games unbeaten run.

  2. Good first half so far. 2 great clearances by Burdisso and 1 terrible shot by Ibrahimovich. I think he was confused whether to shoot or chip it and ended up passing it straight to the keeper :giggle:. De Rossi is not able to control the game and break plays and so far the only Roma player looking good in the middle is Menez.

Pirlo was passing really well too before he got injured.

  3. its sh*t compared to bpl....Its good though that spurs match is on...

I love the BPL too but the Italian Serie A is definitely not 'sh*t'. Anyway, Roma is the only club that I like after Liverpool and I follow them closely. So I will definitely watch the match :)

  4. This test match reminds me of a certain test in England where we had gloomy conditions in the 1st day and Sourav chose to bat to everyone's shock. The task of the batsmen was to just not lose their wicket as the conditions were expected to get better from Day 2. Similar thing happening here except that at that time we were facing England and managed 225-1 in the 1st day and right now we got demolished by an awesome SA attack :giggle:.

Expecting a 400+ total here for SA. Let's just hope the conditions stay this way when we are batting and Indian openers do apply themselves better.

  5. @ Sufyan : I thought there is nothing Sachin and Dravid could have done with those deliveries. They were just perfect. I do agree that Gambhir shouldn't have poked at that ball but then, he had been evading bouncers all the time and was getting furstrated. Raina still needs to prove that he can play in bouncy pitches.

@Art and @Athek : Give Ponting some time. He will prove his critics wrong and show what a legendary batsman he still is. Hell we should all be privileged that we have lived in the times of Ricky Ponting and witnessed him play. :)

  6. hmmm...ok i give that one to you Avi...btw did you get a call from ponting yet???

    :P:chair:

Even the best batsmen go through a bad phase. Ponting has said in several places that although he is past his prime he is still good enough to score runs everywhere, just like Sachin. I believe he will be the leading 'test' run scorer in 2011 and will score a century in the 2nd innings of the 3rd test (Ashes) :). Anyway, atleast let's hope for the best. :gunsmilie:

Btw, Dale Stayne and Mourkel are on fire :O

  7. What are you blabbering? I never said he should be recalled or anything. Just mentioned that I miss seeing him play because even in the last tour he batted when the team was in a similar situation and played some very good innings. Seriously, read better before commenting :loser:

  8. Wow, really nice first half. United lucky to be in the lead though as that was definitely not a clear cut chance. I thought the new Arsenal keeper is doing well so far ( dunno how the hell can anyone pronounce his name :ko: ). Btw I don't think Arshavin deserved a yellow card. I mean he did get the ball first .:scratchchin:
