  1. @ Edge - I am not denying the greatness of the man. But i am sorry i am totally unaware of his legendary skills as a batsman. So i feel it wont be wise for me to speak about Don.

On the other hand i know about Sachin and on his day he is better than any batsman this generation has seen. Again, i mean on his day. He does have limitations but again this guy has carried the expectations of the second largest population of the world on his shoulders for 20 years. 20 freaking years man. For me thats a benchmark of greatness cause one knows the negative effect of unreasonable expectations on one's shoulders.

I haven't denied one word of what you've said. All I've been doing since the start is countering people's points anyway. If you go back to the previous page and read my post there, you'll find that I've said pretty much the same thing that you have.

  2. I was only laughing at that because even the point where he thought he was giving Bradman credit was wrong.

Pretty much disagree with everything the both of you said about the Don. I might not have watched him, but he did things that no other player will ever ever do. Okay, so you only watched Sachin. He might be the best you've watched, but that doesn't make him > Bradman, no matter how many "IMO"s or "for me"s you put in that sentence.

  3. Hey now, Bleach has some cool art, mang~

    story is sh*t natch

Cool art, yes, but the way Kubo handles his panels is piss poor. And that's what he's lifting. Anyway, let's not ruin the hilarity by getting into technicals.

Going by the user comments, apparently he's been snuffing from Hellsing and Naruto as well.

Haha, way to go. Pick the most popular and recognizable manga out there.

  4. Because I've spent so much time on the whole Sachin thing this morning, I figured I might as well put in my final two cents worth on the matter.

Sachin has never been the best test match batsman in the world for an extended period of time. Lara eclipsed him for most of the time he was active, and then Ponting took over the throne, and now it's Sehwag's. Heck, even Hayden was a better batsman than Sachin for a period of time when he was at his imperious best. In ODIs, however, he is clearly the best to ever play that format, and the only one who is even comparable to his level of play is Viv Richards.

People have had peaks and purple patches where they have scored much heavier than Sachin, but he has all of them beat in the sheer volume of his numbers, and longetivity. He has scored heavily and consistently against all teams, and in all conditions, home and away, and this something that just cannot be ignored. And for that fact alone, he is an all-time great. He might not be the Don Bradman of the modern game, but he definitely is the Jack Hobbs, someone whose career was ridiculously similar to Sachin's, if you look around and read a bit into it. Hobbs has 199 FC centuries, and Tendulkar has nearly 100 international centuries. Neither are records that are likely to be beaten anytime soon, and that is just so fitting. Sachin deserves no less.

  5. So what if he was using a runnner? It's not against the rules or anything. You guys are so biased and I don't even know why i'm arguing with you'll ! Anwar's knock was awesome and if you can't admit it, then you really are not a hardcore cricket fan.

The five extra overs of fielding restrictions weren't against the rules either.

I'm definitely not biased in this matter, because I thought Anwar totally owned our bowling in that match. It probably was a better innings, but it doesn't matter does it? Tendulkar has the higher score, and using any reason, be it small ground, flat pitch, etc etc doesn't change that fact.

  6. ;_;

Tears, eh? I got impatient about a year and a half ago, and read the novels. They're friggin' AMAZING. I don't have a clue why anyone in their right minds wouldn't want to animate that stuff. Would sell like crazy.

And to further my agony, the translator threw a hissy fit and stopped doing them. The translations stopped mid-sentence (yeah, mid-sentence) in one of the most epic parts of the story. FFFFFUUU-

    I wants moar Chidori.. T_T

  7. Wow, that was really helpful.

Yeah, I usually use those charts as guidelines. I check the staff and VA list later on, and then decide what to watch. I give most of them a shot anyway, but they're a real help.

I can't believe KyoAni are making another season of K-On while Full Metal Panic hasn't been touched for five years already. FFS, so much fail.

  8. May i suggest Cross Game.... very nice sports/baseball anime

Have you read the manga? The ending was a bit rushed, but the two chapters before that were just amazing. Adachi = God.

Also, Cross Game is romance drama first, baseball anime second.
