    Look s3 and old have 4.3 eventually it comes but takes time. Im okay with 6-8 months lag period

     

     

     

    There are a ton of phones (including several flagships) that have not got the good fortune of an update even after a full year of release.

     

    You might be fine with lag, others are not.

    yes. Everyone is different and that's why I ised me alot.

     

    Battery life was the factor for me.

    Personally i would never pay 28k for a nexus, wastage of money for me. What good is a phone when it take 3.5hrs to charge then just 3_3.5hrs screen on time On the other hand 2 hr charge for 6hrs screen time. Updates is hyped after six months Nexus 4 will not get updates due to ridiculous google 18 month policy. Always buy the phone with the update you want it to run. Never expect anything from updates in future. Companies always f up the device most of the times. My brother has iPhone 5 and ios7 is just painful. Same earlier with 4s when ios6 came out. Manufacturers always want to make u upgrade inside 18 month max if you want top performance from ur phone. Rant ends Sent from my LG-D802 using TapatalkUpdates mean quite a bit. I suggest the same thing (just look at current feature set) for general public (moms/pops) but for any semi-decent tech savvy user, updates are a pretty big thing.And you can't compare iOS updates with Android updates. In terms of performance, they are always going the opposite way. iOS updates almost always bring a decrease in performance with them while Android has always been more about increasing performance instead of features starting right from Froyo onwards.

     

    Yes android has made huge leaps in terms of performance but as of now i m very happy with 4.2 and if its fast like this for the things i do always like little Browning and small tasks, then i personally dont need updates.

    I mean battery life is the thing i will prefer every time over any update.

    4.2 gets things done quickly and lasts long long time.

    Some features like trim and art would help but my phone would get 4.4 update eventually

    I'm unable to use any 3rd party SMS other than the stock LG one.

    The Pop-Up on the top left corner is the best implementation I've ever seen .

     

    It doesn't hinder the current app/game at all. You can quickly reply or dismiss without your current app getting paused.

    Every other app that has Pop-Up pauses the foreground app.

    yes that is indeed awesome

    But the overall uglyness of messaging app i just didnt like.

    With new hangouts app its like a drag down of notification drawer, the whole message is there

    Yes . It's independent of 4.4 . you can SMS in hangout with lower version of Android too

    Is there a option in Dash Clock to show some opacity on the lockscreen, the option to use 0 - 100 percent black only works on homescreen, while on lockscreen I can't read a thing coz it's white colors are hard to see on a wallpaper with comic book like coloration. A extension which may allow to play woth transparency would help me too Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk

    yes there is .... gp to widgets there will a small 1X1 widget of Dashclock settings and its there in advanced submenu

    I really like lg launcher but now using aviate and loving it. But knockon doesn't work now when tapping into a empty area. But staus bar works. And turning on time also it works. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

    Not yet but on status bar it works.

    The last page where battery life has been compared, 6hr 48 mins on G2 is on screen time? Asking since I don't get more than 5-5.15 hours anytime and when you and eggman post your on screen time, i really get upset. :(

     

    ya i think egg man gets more sot than me too .....

     

     

    i get 5.5 - 6 hr on WIFI all time including gaming , reading and casual browsing .

    Smart pause while watching videos on Stock video app is not working. The icon comes up showing that it is trying to detect, but video does not pause. Smart stay is also not working, again the icon comes up trying to detect a face, but screen turns off. Anyone else having any similar issues?

     

    i never tried smart video but smart stay works for me almost all the time unless its totally dark ......

     

    and do you know the replacement policies of LG ? iPhone ka to replacement cost hora hai they give brand new phone for defects .....do LG repair or replace ?

    After Watching all Nexus 5 Reviews and Videos , I'm glad i bought G2 .........

    My presumptions were true .

    1> Screen Washed Out

    2> Bad Battery Life

    3> Lesser Camera

    4> Longer Charging Times

    5> no IR Blaster ( tough that was expected )

     

     

     

    Did you try LG OSP, i really love the implementation.

    Yeah. IIRC, charging upto around 82% is sorta fine, but the remaining 18-20% is what takes an agnoizing amount of time. I do have QuickCharge enabled on my custom ROM, but I don't think it's really doing anything.

     

    i was on customs rom all the time with note , but with g2 now i want to settle down , so i spend more time doing than changing /modding

    Yeah... at a 4k difference, the G2 is more worth it than the Nexus 5, unless you absolutely have to have the latest Android version officially.

     

    Yeah. I have an HTC One it charges way too slowly :ack: I charge it for like 45 minutes and it still only goes up like 40% maybe

     

    that is dsecnt charging speed bro .......

    iphone 5 also charges like a minute for 1 percent ........

     

    100minutes to full charge ..... G2 is close second ........

    last time i checked on anantech htc one take 3.7 hrs to fully charge
