    truck hit the car from behind, estimate 84k :doh:

    Good to know all are safe. Reminded me of similar incident which happened last year 18oct. My younger kids bday. We were all (wife, mom n 2 kids) going by mum pune expressway to mumbai when a guy driving swift hit us from behind. I was driving at 70, swift at 80 in middle lane. He was talking on cell n didnt register the distance getting shorter between 2 vehicles gradually. My car was alto. :D

    The contents of it got shaken such by the impact that fr the nxt 3 hrs i was thinking which >7 airbag vehicle to buy next. It changes your perspective altogether. if i was alone, it wouldnt hv mattered much.

     

    City is a good car. Damage dikh raha hai jyada. Kharcha is in line with if u want to get things back in shape as they were.

     

    Django, sabse mehengi gaadi le le tu. Soch mat.

    I doubt that.. 4X2 manual is the most economical fortuner.. then comes auto and then 4X4.. I would suggest wait till diwali for 2.5L Engine fortuner, It will come in only 4X2 manual but will have good economy.. Expected to be priced around 19L...

    everytime sum1 mentions 10r n 14r, me adrenaline gets pumped up, y me no rich :|

     

    btw, u gheis seen Kawa H2?

    Those bikes are made to pump up ur adrenaline. The store guys bring the bikes frm basement to ground floor on ramp fr test drive. When they got the 2 together, sensory overload hua. Didnt know which to keep looking, which to leave looking. Floored.

     

    Kawa h2? Its not a kawasaki. Is it?

    I have the 4 speed Automatic, its giving me around 7-8 in city & around 10 on the highway... The current 5 speed is having +1 than the 4 speed version.. (8-9 in city & 11 on the highway)..

    I think manual gives 1 or 2 above automatic? 4x4fulltime waala manual.

    If i am in your place i would go for Fortuner. IF you dont mind its big size and Ok with its Low FE then just go for it.. You won't regret this decision believe me :)

     

    IMO just avoid skoda-VW-Merc and all cos the service costs will really hurt.. But if you really want to go for badge then Q3 is best of the lot (Q3-GLA-X1).

    Hmmm. The toyota sales guy too mentioned the service / maintenance point. Fortuner kitna deti hai? 8-10 kmpl?

     

     

    Folks, i test drove the ninja 10r and 14r today. Kya brutal machines hai bc!!!!! Am in seventh heaven.

    14r despite its humongous size was so comfy n handling was so intuitive that i felt i was handling some 100cc bike. Traction control was kept on full intrusion fr obvious reasons. Test drive was in bajaj showroom premises (they dont let ppl ride em out on roads), so couldnt get the bikes to stretch its legs. 10r pulls like wooahhh! Felt i'll get thrown back.

    Interesting thoughts from u all.

    Had been test driving vehicles from various price brackets n classes. No definite date to buy in mind, but family seems to b liking any spacious thing they sit in; xuv, storme, fortuner n even innova (dont like this fr obvious reasons). Funny but wife feels nausea when she sits in backseats of sedans, maybe its mental ...dont know. So anything sedan...ish gets low points. Bahut problem hai.

     

    When i think from affordable build quality perspective, lagta hai storme is best. But is it?

    Xuv is full vfm, but sometimes it doesnt get to me.

    Fortuner ke liye 30k is too much.

    Will chk GLA n octavia. I missed octavia test drive.

    Meri biwi duniya ka koi bhi scooter nahi chala paa rahi thi, usse bhi wego chal gaya. Just imagine, how easy driving it must be. With that body balance tech (it actually works), weight ka pata hi nahi chalta. Activa has weight.

    Let me rephrase - my wife has used Activa and she loves it. I just want to know if there is anything better so that she can take a test ride and compare.

     

    Our baseline for all comparison is Activa.

     

    Better nahi hai kuch. If u hv a scooter already, u will buy another fr a reason. What is that? Usko address kar le. Bas.

    Primarily, wife would be using the gearless scooter.

    Also, don't want to invest much in it as I know utilization won't be that high.

    Arey. Wife ko jo achha lage wo buy kar le yaar. Maine to darr darr ki thokare khayi. Koi scooter jamm nahi rahi thi usko. Koi heavy, to koi stand pe chadd nahi rahi thi. Phir bhagwaan ko daya aayi. Wego ki test drive mai sab parameters paas ho gaye. Maine le li. Sab ek jaisi hai. Tere liye nahi hai to itna RnD mat kar. :P

    zx10r is fine, but zx14r!!!! thats a friggin missile B)

     

    or if Gayabusa styling is ur cup of tea then Gayabusa is also good, i would stay away from it though :P

    Gayabusa is puuraana maal, no updates frm a zero RnD corporation to it. No traction control. No power modes. It only gets aftermarket parts love. Bekaar hai wo.

    RC has committed position. Wrist ki mom sis in a week (gym join karna padega to sustain). Duke 390 is hooligan.

    Ninja 650 wud b best, but 5.47lac otr pune hai. Ninja 300 pricing is not good, but it has slipper clutch i think. Duke 390 best.

     

    Else jump to street triple or z800

     

    Next jump directly to zx10r

    or zx14r (total road domination)
