Rock thx again I will try it, and is there a app that doesn't lock the screen when the display turns off, I find it a bit annoying on android to turn on the phone, on symbian I just had to press any key to turn on the display without unlocking it, and lock it only using the lock key. Why don't you try a new kernel ?
I finally settled for a ROM , Kernel , Adblocker for N7 after trying several ROM and kernels even tried Linaro battery is great but unstable also i didn't liked the adblocking via apps so add list of hosts which should be blocked and flashed it my self.

Pathetic Battery Life on Nexus 7 2013 , I'm still to try a different kernel where battery optimization would be done.
Takes 6 minutes to unbox it and 2 minute to flash it.
