    Nomura talks about Final Fantasy Versus on the Xbox 360

     

     

    Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been in development for quite some time with very little information revealed. The game has been touted as being a PS3 exclusive. It appears that there is a possibility that the game could go multiplatform given the right conditions.

     

    Many hail Versus as the true successor in the Final Fantasy series rather than Final Fantasy XIII. Versus is said to bring the traversable world map back to the series along with the progressive real time battle system see in previous iterations. The game will also take a darker and more realistic turn with blood and violence.

     

    Rumors of Versus making its way over to the Xbox 360 have gained the attention of the developers of the game. According to Andriasang, Tetsuya Nomura, director of Final Fantasy Versus XIII recently addressed this question in a tweet.

     

    He tweeted:

     

    Multiplatform is when you start development on a game with the assumption of optimizing for multiple platforms. Porting is something that’s done after you’ve developed a game specifically for a particular platforms. The debate over porting is decided by the management based off the current market and the costs. All I can say right now as a developer is that Versus is being developed specifically for the PlayStation 3.

     

    It appears that the developers are developing the game with only the PS3 in mind. However, he does point out that management can decide to port the game over to the Xbox 360 if it makes sense from a financial perspective.

     

    With Final Fantasy XIII selling roughly three times more on the PS3 (4.5 mil est.) than Xbox 360 (1.5 mil est.), I am curious to see if it will make sense to port the game. Clearly, the vast majority of the Xbox 360 gamers do not seem to care for Final Fantasy.

    thanks a lot bro. i shifted to Canada a month ago...... my old PS3 went kaput in India so got a new one here but its quite cheap here. I have brought all of my games with me and will join online gaming soon :devil:

    hey guys,

    i saw this show- the mentalist ka first 2 episode...really enjoyed it..but tbh i am looking for some more depth you know kinda like i dont want this psychic people solving cases only but normal people getting close to criminals ....so is there any such good show without involving this psychic thing....i would like to watch something like that too ,beside the mentalist.

    Waiting for some "The Movie: Emotional Atyachar" reviews !

    Ranvir & Vinay combo has been amazing everytime !!.. Hoping this would too turn out to be a blast !! :)

    @ Django: Yup, They 've truly spoilt the " jailhouse rock" in a fullon Eye/Ear pain manner...Other songs are avoidable too.. Promo is very average.. Kids cant be compared to the original stepmom cast.. And Arjun rampal with a blank face.. Uff.. !! But I'll still go and watch it for the love of my Mom..(We are family u know!)

     

    @Playstation: I 've seen Peepli Live and enjoyed it.. To come outta the disappointment of We are Family, I guess I'll watch "Emotional Atyachar" .. I m sure it'll be a good watch..

    Whoa ! did not knew that emotional atayachar is a movie..only heard it in that song from dev d. :giggle:

    no bro....i have not watch alien till now...but i have got it and it is definitely the next...i sat down to watch alien but then mood nahi ban reha tha us din kuch sci-fi dekh ne ka...so changed it . :fear:
