  1. How easy is it to upgrade from Vista Home premium to windows 7 ultimate without reformatting HDD or loosing any of my data? I have a ton of programs installed (Steam etc) that I wouldnt want to reinstall.

I use to have xp and installed win7 recently.

My steam and all other important files were not on primary disk C: so i formatted C: only and did a complete installation of Win7.

ALL my files are safe and steam works too. without any issue. Just copy on dvd all the data you have on C: and you are good to go. :console:

  2. Guys, I am trying to decide between Win7 Ultimate 32 bit and 64 bit for my PC. Since my PC will have 6 GB of RAM, I guess, 64 bit makes more sense. Will there be any problems with running older games on a 64 bit OS?

mt ,bro i think you already know this ...but when you download the ISO file and burn it on dvd....try to burn it at a normal slow speed . Many have complained of errors coz of burning the ISO on high speed ...4x is i think better to choose.

And go for 64 bit. Aman was recommending this too ....i even asked him abt compatibility issue ...he said 64 bit works just fine.

  3. @HPS's post, that kinda reminds me of .....something like this happen when i was coming from amritsar to kolkata by train and my seat was rite near the door....two sanyasi womens were sitting just then a family was getting ready with the bags and all near the door...as soon as the station arrived the person he left his child's hand and started passing the luggage to his family members and when he was done he did not look back and instead of holding back his child's hand he got hold of that old lady's hand and started pulling with him to the door...the old lady was shouting arey bhai hum ko kahai pakra hai...apka ladaka waha hai...

  4. I suppose. Dont know much about PC hardware, but if he gets a high end mobo now. He can put any card that comes out later on. He can use the money he saves on a gfx card now and get a high end mobo.

well i am no athek but yes everything else in the config list is good enough to support any card in future.

  5. I kinda think PS's idea is right. Splurge on your proccy and mobo etc for now. Get the best models which r most future proof models avaialable Coz upgrading them later on will be a bitch. And get a cheap card to cover ur backlog. Card+SMPS+coolant etc can be added later on

only changing the card later will be good enough, dont you think??

  6. You have a job ready for him here?? :threatenlumber:

Mt the games you mentioned you wanna play does not require that much of gfx... specially witcher was easily playable on my 8600gt and it looked beautiful.

If i was you i would have bought a cheap card with the other config you mentioned to play all these games and by that time fermi would be out and you will have loads of options to go for.just my idea..

  7. MT, all this continuous talk n praises about ur purchases n related blah. You better put some voodoo doll thing, you know the one that drives away gandi nazar n panvati, and hang it around ur PC or urself ...

Poor Mt only gets ganda nazar here...we are all waiting for gandi nazar wali to show up here.

  8. I prefer non-CG cutscenes when using a powerful graphics engine. It allows devs to really flex the engine to deliver the best visuals possible in a pre-planned perspective, which otherwise may not possible when the player has control.

though i prefer real time too(if they can really make it look good)but some CGI can be so mind blowing....ffversus 13.

  9. No CGI? I doubt that

Why not? UC2 didnt use CGI for cutscenes either.

CGI ka zamaana ja reha hai...even with dragon age and mass effect 2 bioware made these awesome cgi but they were never in the game. :D
