Great concept but i dont think nintendo can pull it off and the console is a bit ahead of its time. I can see this being the future though. Someone like sony, ms or even an outside company like google can make this a gamechanger like iphone did.
Imagine this being your handheld console which could also double up as a media device, make calls and use it as a secondary phone if you want. Plug it into dock for a home console experience. Use it in a daydream like rig for VR, use in car for navigation, for fitness etc etc.

Dangal trailer is soo good. Already watched it multiple times.
Pretty sure this will become most critically acclaimed Bollywood movie of this year.
Trailer alone looked 100 times better than whole Sultan movie or any Bollywood movie released this year lol

Zelda mil raha hai usi mein khush ho jao. Switch exclusive titles nhin honge then how will they make people "switch" ?
And wii u never had a new zelda game so I think that's the reason for it to come on wii u too. I don't expect the same with mario. ha yaar....but 60 million wiiu sold hua hai....bohat paisa milenga woh log ko....
Yeah I won't be surprised if they outright cancel WiiU version of Zelda

Day one purchase. I like the fact that I can as easily carry it in my luggage as Vita.
Also its not SMG3 but brand new game, SMG2 was an oddity since they usually don't release direct sequels to Mario games.
I knew you will buy... Shadokan will also buy... 2 sales toh sure hai ivg se...
I just hope they port new mario on wiiu.

I honestly just want super mario galaxy 3 to be ported to wii u...if that does not happen ...might buy it otherwise dont have that much urge to buy it.
Thankfully Zelda is coming on Wii U too and is looking quite good infact i still cant say much difference between them.
I really really hope Nintendo does consider porting some games to WiiU too but knowing them they purposely won't.

Thing is though, there is nothing to suggest that Wii took out a chunk of the PS360 consumers. I think if the Wii didnt exist, the PS360 would probably have sold a little more but I dont think they would have sold the 120 million or whatever the Wii sold. Not even half of that. It was a different audience buying the Wii than the one that was buying PS360.
Wii manage to create new install base because of its motion thing but this seems like regular console with handheld included....so there will be some impact atleast for sure.
Ps4 and Xbox specs may be very powerful but few good gameslike super mario galaxy 3, new zelda etc can hit their nos. big time specially during holidays.

I dont think so. Its almost guaranteed to be marketed at a different audience. I mean it might sell VERY well but its not gonna eat a chunk out of the FIFA/COD/BF audience. Those guys arent gonna bother with this (even comments in this thread is a good example of that).
Then there is third party support. I would downright shocked if it gets more than 10-20% current gen third party games, simply because I doubt a portable system is capable of running those games, no matter how well Nintendo rebuild their bridges. I mean its telling when they show off Skyrim instead of Fallout 4.
But yeah, this being a 3DS successor is definitely more exciting if you are a Nintendo fan. Getting games from two Nintendo systems in one place is pretty huge. Not just because it means more games for you but because all their teams can now focus on one HW instead of being split between the 3DS and WiiU.
Wii you did the same thing...it first created new install base and then started impacting ps3 and 360....People here might give no.s of ps3 and xbox sold but that was because they were longest running console generation and wii was not a long run horse but in half of the 5 years ....the charts were crazy wii always sold more than 2-3 times of ps3 and xbox.

Dude...i will make you read your post when time comes ........this i am saying will be huge success just because of one thing...3ds+ console thing.
No one can fight that....every 2nd month some great game will be coming out for it.

The biggest advantage is this doubles up as 3DS follower, which means both Nintendo console and portable output will be on one system, which is huge.
Nintendo can make damn good portable games ....so say even if people not enjoying console games that can get portable games.
I think this will be very huge....infact so huge that ps4 and xbox1 will face big impact in their sales....

I think WiiU compatibility is a good bet. I wouldnt hold my breath for Wii compatibility though.
Edit Digital only though if it compatible. From what I see this uses memory cards? O.o
yea man no place to put the disc in.....
Phela toh Nintendo should remove that digital games to be tied console thing....bc....who comes with such chuu concept .....second like people said region free hona hi chahiya......have faced problems big time because of region restriction console......getting games from UK is not that easy and cheap .

The concept is very cool but Nintendo how it can use it will depend....WiiU bhi kharab nahi hai...infact could have been so much better but they failed to utilize that concept.
See that big WiiU controller could not give much in return and became a sort of liability as it was expensive and WiiU price could not come down also because of it secondly because such poor concept even great games could not put much use of it....now this looks something similar but one clever thing Nintendo is doing is making this there portable console also ...so its like NIntendo 3ds + WiiU.....thats a hell lot of games man.....that will open up such huge library ki admi sambhal nahi payega....

Kuch khaas nahi lega....concept cool hai par kitna cool hai...i mean woh controllers toh itna chota hojata hai when you remove it ki 2-3 year baby ka haath ke liya design kiya hai as lagta hai.
oh my bad...just saw the small controllers can also be attach to make it big...thik hai.
Anyways still not very impressed will wait for specs....the Zelda trailer looked okay to me in NX...seems it might not be really that powerful.
