    Send it back where it came from and get a smart phone with gps :P

    mostly all smartphones these days come with one.they all come with the features these standalone gps devices do.

     

    I had mapmyindia,used it for some time then sold it

    It has virtually no use unless you are driving around , locating some place of interest etc.Unfortunately these were all supported by my phone

     

    However if you travel a lot these things are very handy

    Yaar i understand ..i actually thought about it too but most times i needed it for locations where mobile reception is hard to get.

    Guys,

    I just got my hands on Garmin etrex 20 GPS system and i am not very used to it...infact this is second time i have ever actually had it in my hands ...

     

    I have started playing with it...like finding my coordinates....mapping coordinates but that is not all to it right?

     

    so anyone here whose using any such GPS ...can you guide me how can i get them maps and all ? other interesting things i can use it for...

    Yea I will buy the complete pack in sale. It will be better since the 2nd expansion will cost around 18$ on gog

     

    Yea..me too waiting for winter sale.

    Ori is 565 but yea might get some discount in winter sale. Trine 3 may not get any cheaper than this since it is relatively new.

     

    Some publishers might still be contemplating about the pricing. Let's wait and see

    nahi asa koi jaldi bhi nahi hai....as i am yet to play the previous 2 games.

    Adha se jyada game ka price toh hai hi nahi..Ninja blade and all cant see the price only...

     

     

    But yes some good pricing is there....I hope we get all the games and not like region locked sh*t and all.

     

     

    I just bought deus ex mankind ...damn good pricing on that one..

     

    Imagine during winter sales prices going even further down for us...

     

     

    Wanted to buy Trine 3 only ....don't need trine 1 and 2...will wait for sale on that...

     

     

    Also bought child of light...beautiful game ....want to buy ori and the forest but too expensive right now....also life is strange waiting for winter sales to buy them.

    Say i am a biggest whole sale supplier of sugar in the country supplying to almost every sweet shop in the country and i also have a big sweet shop of my own...now you want to buy sweets but you don't like me ...will you still come to my shop and directly contribute to my growth and more profit ?? but you need to buy sweets anyways....do you have any other option? ..

     

    Btw Foxconn is a taiwanese company and last i remember those chinese have not taken over taiwan yet....

     

     

    Anyways lets stop this....I just want you guys to suggest me good alternatives from other companies instead of Lenovo and all....My mum actually might like Mi 4 because of amazing camera......but i am looking if i can find someother alternatives also that are as good.

    ^ Bhai, they are already there.

     

    The moment FOXCONN or any other major OEM wants to pull the rug out from under any major brand, they can pretty much solo it out.

    I know yaar ..i was seeing growth of that Xiaomi company ......have started venturing into big TVs and even mini scooters and really build a good one too imo but see this is where i don't want to contribute directly to their success...there are slowly going to become biggest brands in the world in lot of products........them growing every day is not good for us ....but this is just what i think and want to do.

     

     

     

     

    So now which mobile phone will you buy which is not manufactured in China?

    I think you missed what i wanted to say....I know whatever i am buying is Made in China but there is a difference here if i a sony product made in china than buy a china manufactured company product and make them rule the world.

    Mom wants a mobile phone....i don't have big budget by under Rs10k would be all i can buy her for....

     

    Please suggest....should i buy iphone 4s and all for her... i once saw it was going for Rs 10k on amazon.

     

     

    THat MI4 is also good i believe....but i think buying a iphone is better i guess.....not sure though if iphone 4s supports whatsapp and all? ...my iphone 3g never use...the apple people stop services for old phones really fast i believe. Still you guys suggest? ....

     

     

    btw She will use for whatsapp...facebook and normal calling and messaging.

    Well I had an LG plasma before this. 3 years old. The only reason I bought this was it was cheaper.

     

    Recently it shared showing its age. Two of the hdmi ports weren't playing audio. Only video.

     

    Very recently in one of those ports, in which I had connected my ps4. If you switch on the ps4 first, before the tv is switch on, it didn't display video also. Whereas, switch on the tv first and then the ps4, then everything was fine.

     

    Similarly another HDMI port had the chromecast. No video at all.

    @wolfy brilliant purchase.

     

     

    I bought LG 42f553a ...want to go for sony one only but it was almost twice the price as you mentioned Rs 69k..whereas this costed me Rs 40k with free wall flex wall mount, 2 year warranty, a dvd player..

     

     

     

    Can you guys suggest some good HD videos to play on it so that i can see how good LG one is...i have quite a few blu-ray i tested and not that they were bad but i felt it stretched a bit ...i think i would have to try even more high res videos on this TV to see how good actually it is?

     

    where can i get those?

    It is a simulation game that is why FIA sanctioned online championships will be the main focus to promote virtual racing championships

    GT6 has better physics than GT5 , but very less visual difference . Very fast and almost no loading times atleast for digital versions)

    I bought the disc version but really good to hear that it's fast and all.

    some are saying its gt7 prologue but some are saying its a rebranding of the series. kaz had specifically said that there won't be another prologue so lets wait for more details.

    Oh..I thought this was more to do with going against Forza horizon ....

     

    I honestly don't want that also...just make a what you always do best...a racing simulation game.

     

    a little OT : I just bought GT6 also....How is GT6 compared to GT5? ...did not not follow any of GT6 at all.

    ^^Capitalism,love it or hate it,this is the future, I hate it, Hut they don't care.

     

    Also it's crap to compare a normal site with an ecom site, with shot loads of product, dat a entry itself is a pain. Add to it dynamic pricing, amount of QA, having differential pricing for app and siteven. Hardware, engineer,managers,qa, hosting,optimization, databases and so on. MaintainING just the FK site would be running them monthly bill of crores. So obviously they have done their home work, success of big billion day proves it for them.

     

    Business decisions have to be taken with mind and not heart, a ND they have their mind set.

     

    the running cost be about same running the websites on Apps as well...same things will be applied there as well dynamic pricing..constant changing of price etc.

    Add to all what you are saying...

    Mobiles are reaching interiors of the country and computers aren't.

    I am privy to lot of board meeting discussions by major retailers and i can say that all they see is how many hits they receive in a day.. The magnitude of hits from apps is far beyond that from websites.

    Think of this way.. All you need to reach a customer on app is he to have a ~7k device with even 2g speed net.

    Compare that to a pc and shitty broadband in remote areas of the country.

    Correct me if i am wrong but since when PC internet connection become worse than mobile internet ?

    Browsing with mobiles for stuff you wanna buy is too tough.

     

    I can browse through sites like a beast and reduce my searching time drastically via PC. I can buy properly via PC. Blame this on people who shop senselessly from offices just to show off in front of their colleagues with cheap ego thrills of how they seem to have bought what they want at cheaps. In reality they don't have what they want and they could get a better product if they searched more.

     

    Thus without a shadiw of a doubt PCis the best for shopping online. These companies profit on people just acquainted to impulse buying.

     

    Now people need to be educated on how to buy properly.

    Interesting point about how this is making people impulsive ...I know a friend who was on his mobile all the time while we were sitting during the flipkart billion sale ....

     

    Anyways very unethical way of doing business by giving conditions on offers in selected way that can be easily given to others.

    So that first thing u buy is a smartphone :P

     

    They are going app only..

     

    They get more user data

    They can cut down on running cost by closing websites

    Overall decrease in running cost.

    I don't like smartphone...I don't even like carrying normal phone but majboori hai ....kahi na kahi kaam ane lagta hai...

     

    Anyways pretty poor decision by them to cut access to normal pc users...not everywhere you can go for cost cutting also.....Flipkart i can live with it...stopped using it quite a lot ..but amazon doing this is really killing online shopping experience for me.

     

    I will write a email to Amazon India regarding this. I know nothing much will happen with 1 person but they need to hear.

    No. Maintaining website, mobile site and app is expensive. Their maximum sales are from apps, so they want to cut down costs of other channels as it's not worth it. Its really stupid decision, but chutiyon ko kaun samjhaye. Also they mine user data through apps. However it will be limited once android 6.0 becomes more prevalent.

     

    +1.

    I think main reason is getting data. All retail companies believe they can gain a lot from data, like they try to improve recommendations, focus markets etc. From apps they can get more reliable and clean data than web logs.

     

    Also think maintaining website and app would cost somewhat similar.

    There are millions who still prefer to use computer...India is huge market they are literally cutting access too many of us by doing this.

     

    Why give better deals to App people only when website is also there?...

    Guys, Why are these online websites going App only?...driving me crazy this sh*t.

     

    I don't have smart phone and tbh don't even like using phones to shop.

     

    It makes no sense cutting access to so many of us by giving best deals on App only....Phela toh Flipkart tha which i care less now but ab sala Amazon bhi dekh reha hu has started going mostly App.
