Removing Hayter and casting expensive actor like Sutherland as Snake was a big mistake imo..Sutherland is the reason Snake is silent most of the time in the game.. He just stands and stares at other characters like an idiot with absolutely no emotion on face :|
He makes no effort to communicate when Kaz and Ocelot are talking to him :|

i dont mind it being open world, the transportation system could've def been a lot better, esp using the chopper in the same area requring loading. the actual missions are very well done in the open world setting with total freedom to choose your approach. the recruitment mechanic keeps the whole grinding/visiting similar outposts from being boring. the narrative has def taken a major hit because of the open world, no 2 ways about it. also, d horse shd have been a mode of transportation and not a buddy IMO.
while snake never spoke much in the previous games apart from the grunts, huh and stuff, he is awfully quiet here. his punchlines are missing and the lack of codec doesnt help either. sutherland play his role well but his lack of dialogues is intentional. firstly, its a part of a story spoiler and another reason is that KS was hired so that they could capture his facial expressions because snake doesnt speak much in the game. this is a total total failure, because either its the engine or their facial capture tech or the koji pro animators have failed big time here. the facial expressions in the game are horrible and the whole snake wont say much but will express through his face takes a major beating.
In a year or two when the post mortem of this game is released, it will be very interesting to read it. Despite it being a well polished product, the game is incomplete and was rushed with a number of stuff cut (including the real ending) from the games which was shown till last year.
....I still have not received the game but reading comments from you guys....i honestly i am quite disappointed...feels i will be missing a lot of things.... Last MGS and the very beauty of those codec conversations and punchlines and all missings is not how i wanted this series to be over. -
GUys, can some one post link to that perfect ground zero save file? i can't find it...

So i went through the video on how to get all tapes for Ground zero...too much work ...don't have time for it. I did manage to get 2 tapes myself and can get another 1 also but rest all you have to do side missions and all.
I better go for that save file Slacker had posted.
Also got 4 GB ram card....will that help further in any settings in this game??
nothing went wrong lol. some people are just over reacting as usual. MGS is not that big of a seller anyways MGS 3 was less than 5 and 4 was around 6-7 mill. the 3 million number is their weekend figures which prolly doesnt include the steam numbers and the digital numbers (PSN/XBL) which make a huge chunk nowadays. wait for a few hours for the first sales report from Eur region to come out.
Okay. Yes most buying directly on digital these days.

They wasted their time on last gen and xbone. Should have focused on PS4 and PC only.
I think it was a very good decision to go for last gen...you cannot ignore 100's of millions of potential customers as for xbox one...how could they avoid it? it is still current gen beside i don't think you need much resources like during ps3 and xbox 360 times to make ports for consoles...it much simpler now. So not much resources would have gone in making xbox one also.
What went wrong i think is Hideo Kojima being sacked and negative PR it created around this game.
It was a huge disappointment all over not just for fans man.

Yeah from now on they should all move to mobile, and once that bubble bursts and takes the whole industry with it, wait for Nintendo to save the day again.
Nintendo is also focusing on mobile quite much these days...heard they did some tie up for mobile gaming.
Koi nahi bacha sakta iss industry ko...jaha Hideo Kojima jaisa admi ko Door dikha dena.....Fumito Ueda ko bhi job se nikal dena.....Ours will be the last generation that truly got the best gaming had to offer ever.
Naya generation will never experience this...

I don't blame Konami for moving away for AAA gaming..AAA games are costly and return is not that big compared to other big AAA games.

Sales are not bad but we are talking about MGS here..This is one of the biggest gaming franchise on the planet and is released on 5 major platforms, that's why i think these sales figures are not super impressive if you compare it to Day one sales of other big multiplatform games like GTA V, COD or new IP like Destiny.
GTA Or COD ko toh choro...woh games ka sale guaranteed hai...just announce and samaj jao 20 millions copies sold atleast.

Not at all impressive for a AAA multiplatform game like MGS which was development for over 5 years and is released on 5 platforms with strong install base.
KOi bada game bhi nahi hai abhi aas paas.....I think Hideo Kojima ko nikal dena bohat bhari pada Konami ko...it gave negative impression of the game.

As I said, properly buzzed, full of bhindi and snot faced I played through the prologue and it was the most, not mincing words, the most surreal experience ever. With no clue of what the bejeesus is going on.

Game still not delivered....will get it next week only.....i am flipkart first member...could have got the game in 1 day and not even had to pay Rs 80 extra for shipping to those idiots at GTS.
Poor decision.

^^woh anti aliasing ...antiscopic....kya kya settinsg hai...dhuniya bhar ka ..i don't even care to look at them...
Initially i used to put very thing full mein and then see if game runs fine....then use to change the settings accordingly ...now i have stopped that with next gen games...i just put these 2 settings on high and rest just leave it on normal or low...

This is not a cross-gen game but still it should run fine on your PC.
I just like to play on 1080p, Texture details high, Shadow details high...thats about it...i don't care about any other settings.

No codec, just cassette tapes. Also the cutscenes have been reduced drastically and general flow and pacing feels disjointed.
Welcome to modern open world game design.

are there interesting talks, quotes and all in this game as well or just talking about mission and equipments...Ground zero was very dull in codec conversation...

I will have to rush through the game first time...then reinstall my computer with Win 10 or may be just keep WIn 8...I need too.....by that time my computer table will be ready ...will then be able install my speakers on the wall properly and then play full game with patience no matter how long it takes .
