  1. Haha.. No matter how hard I try, I can never be as good as Cyclops wife..

And I don't believe in an ideal partner.. I am not an ideal person myself.. Whoever and whatever "HE" is.. We must have fun, friendship, trust, love and connection that allow us to be together for as long as we can.. So yeah.. thats my plan I guess. :scratchchin:

    :good:

    SGS2 is blazing fast :)

    Android gurus..

Is there a way to just sync data when on Wi-Fi? And not on GPRS?

just switch off ur data packet option. it will not work on gprs but oonly when u connect thru wifi.

also syncing too frequently would drain ur battery. so increase syncing durations of apps for which u don't want immediate updates like fb for eg.

  3. I disagree.

My life after getting married is lot better than the one before getting married.

When I got married, I was sick with a disease that could have turned out to be fatal...thanks to my bad lifestyle.

This was a reason why we got married in a hurry and then my wife took care to see that I live.

The biggest change in my life after getting married is that my wife take care to see that I take good enough breaks in between my gaming so that I eat at proper time.

My wife...keeping me alive literally and figuratively

So nice. Ur wife has brought wonders to ur life. :good:

  4. Nice thread :)

Your gaming life after marriage >> Before Marriage :P:good:

lol life after marriage cannot be better in any case, gaming is no exception. It might seem slightly better than other married gamers on ivg but life before marriage is always >> life after marriage. :P

thx piper sa arsc django joy Rom for liking it.

    1. How does your spouse feel about your gaming time?

Answer: I won't say she is too happy when i am gaming, but she believes in keeping a balance and giving space to me, and so do i. But there have been times when that space is encrouched unduly because of which i sometimes have to sacrifice my gaming time. Something which happened last night which forced me to do a Ninja Exit from kz3. :P

As we both have been together for the last 4 years and i being a avid gamer, i tried my level best to pull her interest in gaming since then. One such effort was when i gifted her PSP with handful of games amongst which she became a fan of Kratos. She is so fond of GOW that she even snatches the controller from me when she sees me playing gow3, game which i avoided to boot

until the very famous psn outage happened. There have been times when we have played split screen car games as well and she is quite happy with it. Before marriage i used to game around 8-12 hours daily which has now reduced to mere 1-3 hours(sometimes 0) just to keep the balance part alive. :P

She had even gifted me ps3 games which include GTA4, BP, KZ2, GT5 to name few.

She even likes wearing the KZ3 tee, which i got with KZ3 CE, more than i do. I have even asked her to unlock trophies of some games which otherwise i find difficult to locate, for eg, in gow3. :P

I wish everything goes smooth forever.

    2. Does she think those gaming figurines would come in handy for the kids to play with?

Answer: I don't have any figurines, infact i don't like collecting them either.

    3. And the money spent on this passion, how does she feel about it?

Answer: She's is kinda normal with it as i don't buy too many games, something which even i personally don't like. I usually go for popular titles which release in a gap of 2-3 months, so its kinda ok. Otherwise i pick up games from TP which anyways i fine since i am saving something, which every lady loves. :P

As i said in previous ques, she had even gifted me few games, so all well in this part.

    4. Do you encourage your wife to play some videogames with you?

Answer: Yes ofcourse i do, but only when i am not playing MP with my ivg mates. I got her PSP, she loves playing gow3 which is of course a result of playing gow on psp. She loves burnout car crashing games which is a result of dominator on psp. :P

During weekends, not every weekend, we have played split screen games as well. She doesn't like FPS games though.

    5. Would you be happy, surprised, thrilled or scared if your wife also became a member of IVG?

    Answer: Totally shocked. :fear:

    6. Do you encourage your wife or share her passions say may be, Saas-Bahu serial, Or Romantic YRF movie Or Cricket, Or Bhartnatyam Dance Show etc..?

Answer: Every indian lady likes watching saas bahu serials and my wifey is no exception. And the salt on wound is that her fav serials are scheduled as late as 11pm. So the let the balance intact, i immediately bought Recorder Set Top Box so that she can record her serials and watch them later. But during this psn outage, she developed a habit of watching serials at their scheduled time in which i also accompanied her, hence sacrificing gaming after psn was restored. Fk u Sony :wallbash:

    7. How many hours in a week you devote to your Gaming?

Answer: Before marriage it was around 40-60 hours weekly

After marriage it is just 10-15 hours weekly. Drastic change huh. :suicide:

    8. What are three things you wish your wife would understand about you and your connection with Gaming?

Answer: 1) My passion for gaming

    2) How much i enjoy playing with ivgians

    3) More gaming on weekends.

    Megz questions v2 :

    9. If you want one game to see your wife beat you in..Which one will that be?

    Answer: Killzone

    10. What changes after marriage?? As in, Me time, utilization of me time, you as a person

Answer: Drastic changes. My gaming time has shrinked to one-fifth almost. I have grown more responsible after marriage and feel less pain in quiting games when all my ivg mates are around, something which i never did before marriage even if my parents wanted me to.

    11. Would you like your kid to be an avid gamer?

Answer: It is his/her choice, but that should not come at the cost of studies/career and until its healthy for eyes.

Phew....... there you go. My gaming story post marriage.

  6. Yes, either this or Opera Mobile v11. The stock browser really has problems with navigating (zooming in and out etc) smoothly, and the lack of an exit button.

I think i said Opera Mobile 11 has no exit button. I hv tried Dolphin HD, SkyFire and Opera 11. I just love the interface of Opera 11, only issue is that the app looks too heavy and i hv to exit the browser thru task manager. :(

  7. Why isn't there any EXIT button in opera for android? All the other browsers i tried had exit button, then what stopped opera to remove the basic thing from their app.

I hv used same opera 11 on symbian as well, they hv exit button there, then what's special about android. I like opera a lot but can't exit it straight away. i manually hv to Kill it thru Task Manager. :(

  8. Yeah, live wallpapers are a battery hog. Avoid em, i've experienced slight slowdowns in the fluidity as well when i used them.

I found touchdown's price too high. Try k9 again with proper settings. Its an open source client and IMO is the best performing and fastest.

i tried K9 with every possible setting, it didnt work. Surprisingly Touchdown worked with 1st try. And it is indeed an awesome exchange email app. I am superbly amazed by its features. Almost similar to outlook.

Btw, did K9 work for anyone on ivg for exchange mail. Only exchange mail i repeat.

  9. Just DLed touchdown exchange email trial version and i must say by far the best email app i hv used so far for exchange mail. Pity that its paid and im using a 30 day trial app.

Its worth Rs.850 something, lets see if it forces me to actually go for it after 30 days.

One more thing, live wallpapers eat lot of battery and consume more RAM than some of the apps running in background.
