Ya it looks like Darren Gallagher didn't like the vision or work of core Initiative team, so he decided to hand over the project to his former studio which rubbed Initiative core team wrong way and they departed. Basically CD now main devs. Initiative will just help them with providing funding as producer for the project since they part of MS, but actual development will be done by CD.

Yes its not going well. This is the main reason why they asked CD to help with project coz Initiative lost lot of people in short period of time. I don't expect it to come out anytime soon.
