  1. I just received a couple of the Ralphsnart adventures that i had ordered.

Its a pretty old comic that used to be published by Now Comics which went bust. I had a ton of the old issues but i think i lost all of them while shifting houses.

Recently the character was revived, and older issues are being published once again. I managed to pick up the RSA collection #1 and 2.

Its now a regular webcomic. http://www.marchansenstuff.com/

    Insanely bizarre.

i have a couple of issues of ralph snart featuring mr. lizard...regretted spending my money on it...its bizarre humour is definitely not for everyone

  2. Watched this movie called 'Into the wild' (2007/ 8.2 rating on IMDB).

I stumbled upon it 'coz I saw the soundtrack by Eddie Vedder (the lead singer of Pearl Jam (all hail)) and the story kinda reminded me of one of my other favs - The Motorcycle Diaries. So finally when the rip was out, I made sure to grab it.

The movie is superb. A must watch for any one who likes the adventurous outdoors. And the songs are great too, makes it a visual and aural experience.

P.S.: Interesting trivia about the movie - it is directed by Sean Penn, the lead actor reminded me of a young version of Jack Black and it has 2 oscar nominations (none for best picture/director unfortunately)

  3. I remember reading on Gamespot about an MMORPG being developed in conjunction with this comic book. That'd be cool. There's awesome Mythology in the Indian Culture that's crying to be developed into films/comics/games.. if not for the stuck up religious fanatics, our mythology could be presented in a way that's better accepted by the younger generation. That being said, I am pretty sure there's going to be a big hue and cry by a certain section about the depiction of events in Ramayan 3329 AD whenever it releases..

This reminds me of a friend's interview for admission in a design institute where he was asked how he felt about a video game based on Ramayana with the player running around as Lord Rama, to which he said a lot of stuff in its support.

But then the interview asked him how he would feel when losing the game would mean the death of Lord Rama; which is unthinkable. He finally didnt get admission.

  4. @ghb: Where did you get the games from?

I had friends coming over from US and UK so ordered the PS2 games from UK's amazon/ebay and got the PS3 ones from US.

Yup, excellent games there. Out of curiosity, why didn't you go for the Substance edition of Snake Eater? It was just $20 at (re)launch and quite the steal, what with 3 or 4 discs jam packed with content. The bloopers themselves are worth the price.

    Edit: $20 USD.

MGS games were pretty hard to find (PAL region). So bought whatever I could lay my hands on. :good:
