Sinead is awesome. I'd let her whip me.
I see your Sinead and raise you Rachael Yamagata
You NEED to watch the B&W version on the SE DVD (and listen to Darabont's excellent commentary). Gives the film a whole new feel. One of the best DVDs in my library.
You have a library?!?!
Oh and btw, speaking of 'The Man Who Wasn't There', the cinematographer 'Roger Deakins' is absolutely brilliant. His work on 'The Assassination of Jesse James' is pure genius.

No love for Fargo? Darn 'tootin?

Not even Hudsucker Proxy?
Newman, man! NEWMAN!Diana Krall is awesome. The Chieftains! I love Celtic music, man. Speaking of which, I like Sinead O'Connor's version the best because of the extra political lyrics. It's the kind of stuff I get off on.
Oh, I love Fargo and Hudsucker Proxy. I watched Baton Fink at a time which made it a really important film for me. And I'm a slut for surrealism and noir.
BTW Fargo was the first Coen Brothers movie I ever watched.
I've heard Sinead O'Connor on a few occasions, never heard her version of Danny Boy. Thanks for the recommendation.

Random cross post:
Anyone who doesn't know about/doesn't give this film credit should be taken to the woods and shot (like in the film).
This is one of the best sequences in film history. And the best use of Danny Boy (the folk song that plays over it).
Not my favourite Coen Brothers' movie (it's Barton Fink btw) but agree with best use of Danny Boy in a film.
Also, there is a version of the song covered by Diana Krall. It's pretty amazing
Really? They're just cartoon posters based on TF2. There's far worse stuff (actual photos even) in many avatars.besides the avatar keeps changing if you've noticed. It's a dynamic one. alternates between 5 different pictures.
I missed it. Could you link it?
keep the curtains open and a picture of your boss handy
Agreed.
If the movie doesn't scare look at the picture of your boss.
I saw Rocket Singh...Awesome movie...I really really liked it...It is one of my best movies for sure.Majaha agaya.

I was cursing karthik as much as anyone else here. However at dinner at work a girl who probably has never watched cricket commented something that puts things in perspective. She said "the match was not being played for Sachin's hundred but for India's win." To add to it, she said "Sachin already has sooo many hundreds, what's the big deal? India won allright"
Wish I could think like that... Am sure a true cricket fan would think like that too. Am sure Sachin himself would think like that too...
+ 1
Karthik and Sachin were conversing a lot when we needed some 15 - 20 runs to win. Sachin must have asked him to go for the win, I don't think he would have hit a six otherwise.
Also, Sachin needs to complete 50 100s and 100 50s so one more 50 added.

Ok, I am missing something here. You said franchise? is it a sequel or something? Is there any previous parts made for this movie or any book? call me n00b but answer it
I am talking about the one which is released in 2009. One of the best movies of 2009 IMO
The 2009 movie is a reboot of the Star Trek franchise. The destruction of Vulcan and the time travel plot was included so that there are no continuity issues with the original series + movies. This is an alternate reality as compared to the original one.
Oh and the older Spock (Leonard Nimoy), from the 2009 film, played Spock in the original series.

apparently, someone from blizzard confirmed in a gaming magazine recently that diablo 3 won't be out before 2011.

Hey All ... long time lurker, first time poster. I discovered IVG accidentally, through random Google searches. After a few months of checking out the forums I finally registered.
I've been playing games for more than 2 decades now. Mostly a PC gamer and Sony exclusives' fanboy. Started with the NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Dreamcast and now PS2 ... will be purchasing a PS3 soon (preferably this year).
Other than video games I've spent countless hours on Pen and Paper RPGs and a ton of Board games.
You can call me old school I guess.
Cheers everyone.

She is one of those sad, pretty things with a piano. Something similar to Missy Higgins and Vienna Teng. They're good if you have a thing for such girls.
If you are into more jazzy stuff then give Madeleine Peyroux a try.
Le Samourai is one of my favourite crime dramas.
Since we are venturing into the French New Wave territory, are you a fan of Alain Resnais by any chance? I recently watched "Last Year at Marienbad" and "Smoking/No Smoking". Could you recommend more?
Other than the usual Telugu movies dubbed in Hindi (Star Gold and Set Max), Bhojpuri and Punjabi channels are recommended. You need to be inebriated to enjoy them.
Also, Channel V's Dare to Date is all sorts of entertaining, in a train-wreck sort of way.
