On a 60Hz display, at 30fps you'd have a consistent flow of repeated frames. At 45fps, every other frame would be repeated. Even though the input lag will be lesser for the latter, the former should feel arguably smoother.

45fps on TVs without VRR? That'll be a judder fest.

I suppose that is entirely possible. We saw this last year as well. We'll only know the truth in retrospect when we get out of this situation and when researchers start publishing papers/data.

Yeah. I don't think their engine has support for DRS. They just need to scale back the resolution instead of this weird 45fps target.

No mandate, that's just the developer. Also, 45fps in RT for next-gen consoles is proper stupid. Not even VRR can fix the issue here. 1800p 60fps would've been better.

There are tons in Delhi. Mostly because the shop owners have pulled out and the only operational unit within those malls is the theatre (and parking).

These are unrelated. Curfew is on the weekend while the 30% capacity is for the weekdays. Not all theatres are in malls, plus, it's possible to close malls but have just the theatres open. Some malls in West Delhi operate like that.

So a business strategy is only worth adopting if the top players are doing it? Hasn't history taught us that giant companies have fallen having failed to adapt to the market faster than their competitors? I'm not implying that GP is a good business strategy; personally, I don't care. Regardless of whether it is or isn't, I prefer the idea of a subscription when it comes to any sort of media. Subscription models are the future; maybe not immediately, but soon. Having said that, I like the idea that Sony and MS are sticking to what they're good at and it's good to see it's working for them.
