  1. Ah! That's cool. Haven't played in 2 weeks. New update? What I've noticed is that some games download faster than others. Most likely because they're stored on different servers (among other things). I was actually very curious when I noticed this but didn't have the time to test. Will probably do that soon.
  2. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but if there's any game running in the background, the download speeds are cut down. Sort of like QoS, priority is given to the game. To get the best speed, you have to kill the game first.

Finished the game. Loved the story, sound and art design. The controls and animations were clunky AF though. Felt like I was playing a really old game. That and the texture pop-ins were the most annoying for me. Immersion killers.

Haven't finished the game but there is at least one.
  5. It starts out great but gets stale midway. I stopped playing after that. Maybe try Man of Medan if you haven't played that already.

Started playing. Didn't care much for the first chapter but it's gotten quite interesting after that.
  7. I actually said that I'm the opposite. That said, I can tell the difference but I hardly care unless I'm playing something like Battlefield and trying to snipe someone across the map. I'd rather play on a higher frame rate than higher resolution. I've mostly played 30fps games in the past (being a console player and all) and I used to be okay with that. But having played on 60 and 120, I don't think I'd ever want to go back. 60 needs to be the default target this gen.

    Agreed. Looking forward to it.
  9. I agree. But regardless, some people have a keener eye for detail than others, literally in this case. I'm not one of those people.
  10. It's actually a bit of both. Then there's things like TV size, how far you sit from it, how good the upscaler for TV/Xbox is and so on. Honestly, if someone's only bothered with playing on XSS the entire gen, they won't notice sh*t. Given some time, our eyes will adjust to just about anything.
  11. Indeed. 1080p on 4K displays would look noticeably blurry.
  12. You're right, that would've been sensible but it depends on how you look at it. For me, true next-gen doesn't necessarily imply 4K (or any resolution for that matter). I play on a 1440p monitor and that will likely not change until the next next-gen starts. I care more for the QoL improvements and the fact that I'll be able to play some newer games that I otherwise would've missed out on. I mean, advertising is always misleading. XSX is touted as the 4K (hell, even 8K) console but we'll still have games that are way below that. It'll just happen way more for the XSS. Resolution aside, the XSS should be a great console to own, if, you're still playing on a 1080p/1440p display.
  13. MS messed up the XSS pricing in India though. It's a much better purchase at 30K. That plus the value GP provides, it'd been a great deal.

I'm excited to play something different. I just hope the game isn't as janky as it seems in the videos. Loving the tone and music though.
  15. Similar thoughts. Gameplay was average but the rest was pretty good. I especially loved the art style and graphics.
  16. 1. 144hz is on the display port. HDMI only supports upto 120Hz. So, XSX will only support 120Hz. 2. Yes. Check other sources as well to confirm. 3. I have this. Fully supports XSX. I'm assuming the LG is better considering the price but it's always a good idea to check reviews first. 4. No idea.
  17. Pretty much on point. If only more people had the acuity to understand what you guys are saying, the world would be less about haha hehe and more about intelligent discussions. Kudos!
  18. Oh absolutely! H3 still has a good player base (MCC). I do play it from time to time. Thanks to MCC, new players keep coming in and it's great fun to wreck them. The competitive playlists though are still very tough. Lemme know if you feel like playing a match or two sometime.
  19. Ah! Halo 2 Anniversary is especially good. Actually, it's more closer to the classic art style.
  20. Hi Admins/Mods. Is there a way to change the username?
  21. It's one thing to have played those games at launch vs commenting on them after 10 years. Sprint was introduced in 2010 with Halo Reach. Before that Halo (1, 2, 3) didn't have sprint and Halo was also at the peak of multiplayer shooters. It's decline started with Reach. Sprint in Reach and Halo 4 was absolute sh*t as it broke a lot of core mechanics and maps. 343 did a great job with Halo 5 and personally, I don't mind sprint now. My favorite MP games to play are Halo 3 and Halo 5. On a separate note, drawing comparisons among different genres of FPS is just an absolute waste of time. Here's an FYI, sprint doesn't make a game modern. Halo is an arena shooter (sub-genre of FPS) like Quake, Unreal Tournament and Doom albeit with a slower movement speed (with the exception of some multiplayer modes). The reason Halo isn't as popular now isn't because of the f**k ups of Reach and Halo 4 but because of the same reason why Quake and Unreal Tournament aren't. Classic arena shooters have been overtaken and aren't as popular as the likes of CoDs and Battle Royals. Despite that, Halo has it's own niche audience and still manages to have a decent presence online and a pro scene.
  22. I feel this gen will be different in that we'll see a lot more games aiming for 60fps, albeit at a lower resolution. The CPUs are much stronger this time around. I just hope this trend of multiple resolution and frame rate targets continues.
