  1. Yep. Used to have the step-down voltage converter. Don't use it anymore since the power brick fried. Replaced it with the Indian one.
  2. Sure, I agree. But I'm not discussing things here that aren't possible. I'm only discussing what is. Since they aren't planning to bundle the play and charge kits, for me personally, the next best choice is replaceable batteries. Your choice is obviously different and that's okay.
  3. The original elite controllers had the replaceable batteries. Maybe you saw that?
  4. Always with the insults. If they make controllers with sealed batteries, what option would the users have anyways but to swallow that pill. Also, you obviously know that there's going to be a huge percentage of players even on PlayStation that prefer replaceable batteries but don't have that option? I mean it's good that you have a preference but to ridicule other people's choices is just weird man.
  5. I'm actually one of those people but my reason is completely different. It only applies because MS were stupid enough to not provide a universal power supply for 3 generations. I always buy out-of-region consoles and always ended up in a shot power supply at least once in a generation. It was easier to replace the incompatible power supply with a compatible one. I had to do it for the 360 and the X1. Of course, had they not made the decision of differing voltages, having an external power supply would be the last thing I cared about.
  6. I always bought a spare battery in case I ran out. I do the same with my controller. I only charge the batteries once in 2 weeks because they last that long. Again, I understand you guys have a preference. It's quite obvious seeing how we discuss this topic every couple of months. But I hope you can agree that people with different preferences do exist, right? So, let's just agree to disagree.
  7. ? I don't think you quite understood the context of my reply to CC. We were discussing the possibility of making the Xbox controller like the SN30 Pro+.
  8. This argument is literally like that of replaceable batteries in phones. I personally never cared for sealed batteries and never bothered buying phones which had them. Always replaceable. But since my choice of phone stopped supporting it, I stopped caring. Would I still prefer replaceable over sealed? Any f**king day! Do I have that option though? No.
  9. That's like me saying I don't give a f**k about PS controllers because they don't they replaceable batteries. To each his own. If next gen MS chooses to go for sealed batteries, I'll be hugely disappointed. But honestly, I'll live with it and stop crying after a day or two.
  10. Agreed but it's a possibility nonetheless. But can you do the same with the PS controller? I mean stay wireless all the time? From what I know, no, right?
  11. I've been using the same for 7 years. Still going strong.
  12. You can do the same with the Xbox controller. It's just an extra purchase.
  13. Exactly my point. Using that exact same logic you can obviously understand why they chose removable batteries. In fact, MS said it themselves that they did a survey on this and the decission was split. So, they chose to keep the existing approach. Maybe next time when the decision is in favor of sealed batteries, they'll go with that approach?
  14. So what do you do if you play on a TV and sit 10 feet from your console? Get a 10 feet cable? How's that any worse than changing batteries and always staying wireless?
  15. Play & Charge kits are good and all but the biggest drawback they have is that you'll be connected via a wire. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a wired controller? I've personally never played wired in 7 years. I just replace the batteries (as good as switching to a charged controller) and I can resume playing wirelessly.
  16. So what exactly is your gripe with the batteries? For me the pros are mainly these... Rechargable batteries last around 35-40 hours. Keep a spare charged and you never have to play wired. No need to buy an extra controller as backup (I'm still using my Day 1 (2013) controller) No need to replace a perfectly good controller due to dead batteries. I'm genuinely interested to know why people care so much about batteries. A lot of devices and remotes still come with batteries for this exact same reason.
  17. Yes, regional pricing is definitely needed! They're increasing the price from $60 to $70 next gen because the price has been stagnant for way too long. But it's never been like that for us. Prices have literally sky-rocketed here (and in other countries) over the generations. 4K is way too much to spend on SP-only games.
  18. That is as legit as it gets. They should just come out and announce it already. Maybe they plan to do that alongside the XSX price announcement which will be God knows when!
  19. It's literally the same content in a lot of threads, just the thread titles are different. Same shitposting that has no relation to the OT. Anyhoo, this is going to be my last post about this.
  20. Nah, man. That okay. Cling all you want. PS - That was in reply to Ank's post.
  21. I think I didn't put it correctly. I wasn't talking about the potshots per say. I was actually talking about the discussions that happen around the news articles. It's almost all negative. It's also not even a discussion. It's the same bunch of people lolling and cussing. Plus, it's never on topic. It's whatever. Even in some game threads. It's like, where the f**k is the actual topic people are discussing? Oh wait, it's 5 pages back and it's not related. Nevermind me man. I'll try to get by.
