What memory options should i set in launcher pro?
5 or more screens - Try playing around with Light/Low/Very Low
If you have a lot of widgets - Light/Low
If you don't have many screens - High/Medium/Moderate
So, more stuff on the screen then Low and vice-versa. Just play around with the settings and you'll know what suits you best.

@Bul: Try ADW.Launcher. I prefer that to LauncherPro.
LauncherPro is better IMO.
- Smoother scrolling
- Better home (you can have 3 scrollable dockbars)
- LauncherPro icons to maintain that consistent feel
- Latest update shows a no. corresponding to 'missed calls' and 'new msgs' on top of the respective icons
- Nice memory management options

I am running 2.1 but the 2.1 in spica doesn't natively support live wp.
You'll need to root your device. I have done that...LW aren't worth it on the Spica so don't worry about it. They consume a lot of resources. Unless of course you absolutely wanna give it a try.

Come on guys gimme some comparisons. I look at them and see they have similar processors, the same OS, touchscreens of the same size, but the Xperia has a better cam and flash. Please tell me on what basis the Xperia sucks and the Galaxy S rocks. Please guys, details.
Galaxy S would be getting 2.2 before X10 does. Also, from what I've seen, I have a feeling that the community for Galaxy S would be far batter than the X10's. Which would mean awesome Custom ROMs, tweaks and stuff.

Has anybody checked the revised Airtel plans for Delhi?
They're effing ridiculous! Pretty much every plan has a restriction like the following...
1 Mbps till 15 GB,256 kbps beyond 15 GB.Service Charges extra will apply.I don't understand. WTF?!

Also, on the same page they mentioned that in a pure video test, they were able to get more than 7.5 hours of continuous playback before battery went below 10%..
How good is this? Any comparisons?

Spica doesn't use the TouchWiz UI. It's got the basic Android UI.

^^ That battery isn't that bad. You'll just need to tweak certain things and you can easily go 2 days.

Samsung I9000 Galaxy S Full Battery Test
It didn’t manage to beat the S8500 Wave but the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S certainly managed to push a lot of work on a single charge. Here is what we did with it over the 84 hours from its full charge to its battery going flat.90 minutes video playback
2 hours music playback
40 minutes voice calls
30 minutes navigation
30 minutes general usage
10 minutes browsing
10 minutes shooting photo and video
You should also keep in mind that the Galaxy S was hooked to a 3G network at all times so stand-by also took its toll on the battery.

Like Shantz said, the Task Killer is most definitely causing the problem. Put the Clock app in the exclusion list and then test it out.

Samsung would be releasing 2.2 for almost every device. Firmware support is actually pretty decent but the community support isn't all that great.

Although I don't have either of those, I'd very much want them on a phone. No matter what Mr. Jobs says, Flash is still an integral part of the Web and most of the websites I visit use Flash. As far as the camera is concerned, I feel it is pretty much rendered useless without a Flash!

Nope - the download just does not start. I tried on Edge and Wi-fi. No go. If you mail the installer will it work?
Like Jigsaw said, there are 2 installers. I can mail you the initial one. Then you have to login with the ID you registered and it'll d/l Swype.

^^ If there's a front facing camera on the phone, it should work. It can't be only Evo to Evo. There are apps which already let you do that and they've existed for a while now.

^^ I was downloading through the Dolphin Browser and was getting the message, "This is not an Android Phone." I forgot I had the desktop rendering on. Could it be the same problem?
