Placed a request for that airtel plan. They are gonna check if 8Mbps is possible in my area and upgrade my plan.
The faster speed section rates are all down in Bangalore.

lol...the game is definitely worth 1499 (Got it for 1300 on nextworld though).
Anyhoo applied one of the fixes (couple of dll files i think) and the graphics is on par or marginally better than the console version.
After applying the fix, was able to change the resolution and thats about it (Disabled AA as recommended). There are no other settings in this game.
But the game is fun as it always was. On my way to ring the first bell (finding using the xbox controller a little wierd after playing on PS3 for a longtime).
As usual kicking a*s using my upgraded uchighatana. Got it by killing the first merchant.

The awesome version is still available on Amazon UK. Could never find it on eBay.
Is it a EU/UK only version?

Another way to get a good sword is to kill the Merchant in Undead Burg (the first one you meet, been long time since I played this game). Think he drops Uchighatana.
If you can level it up to a Lightning Uchighatana, you can kill everyone easily.
And killing player when they are ready for a boss fight is fun
.I got a lightning Uchighatana and stayed below level 5 or 6 deliberately, so that I could kill newbies when they tried to go up to fight the gargoyles.

Anyway, you can create an WTB (Want to Buy) thread. Maybe someone will be willing to sell it to you.
Also think this game has gone plat and you can get a copy from eBay or Flipkart.
Edit - If you got a good enough PC (and a 360 contoller), get Dark Soul's of Steam or flipkart.
The PC version has extra content, that will come as DLC on console's I think (Got to buy base game and DLC for console).

Anybody having issues with Steam?
Every time I start it tries to update and fails most of the time. The few times it starts, some of the games don't start (getting message "Game not available").

Never pre-ordered on Steam before and planning to pre-order Dark Souls.
Do they charge immediately for pre-orders or on the day the game releases?
Edit - Does Last Remnant have Co-op? Had bought it on steam long time back, but never played it.

Couple of things you can do in Human form playing online.
First, you can invade other people's world or they can invade you (similar to PvP).
Second, people leaving summoning message almost everywhere, you can summon them to help you out (similar to co-op).
Think both are random, so you may not be able to team up with someone you know.
Edit - The fun part is invading though.

If you have a good understanding of the combat system, it is pretty easy (All characters and bosses attack in a specific pattern).
In my second play through I stayed below level 10 deliberately (Used all the souls to level up my Uchigatana to Lighting+5) and was able to clear all the bosses except the last one (Never really tried fighting the last boss).
Kept my level below 10 because is was easy to invade in all areas. (Only issue being there was no restriction on who you invade, so you could end up invading someone many times above you level also)

This is the only fix I have used "http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix".
Have not had any problem running it on my laptop (Not tried tweaking anything so far, just using the resolution fix).
The graphics is marginally better than the console version. Have not faced any frame rates issues so far, even in boss fights (killed about 3-4 bosses).
