  1. Well this might come as a shock to some, but one of my friends who has a 256kbps airtel connection has been getting a constant 1.3Mbps connection for the past 3 months (i kid you not!). I've been to his place for 2 weeks and not once did the speed drop.

    I on the other hand finally got my 1Mbps connection from TATA and it's been working flawlessly so far :naughty:

  2. Hamilton coming to Mumbai

    Fresh from his back-to-back title victories at Silverstone and Hockenheim, Germany earlier this month, British race sensation and 2008 Grand Prix leader Lewis Hamilton is to visit Mumbai for a promotional tour on July 24.

    The 23-year-old Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team's red hot property, who has scorched the tracks in only his second year in Formula One, would be seen driving a go kart for a lap at the Hakone track in Powai, according to sources connected with organising his visit to India.

    "Hamilton will be giving Formula One enthusiasts a rare opportunity to meet him and race against the fastest time set by him. He will also be interacting with Vodafone customers and media persons," they said.

    Hamilton (58 points), who finished second overall behind Finnish ace Kimi Raikkonen in his debut Formula One season last year, is currently ahead of second-placed Brazilian Felipe Massa (Ferrari) by four points.

    @McLaren fans:

    Don't miss this one guys :thumbsup:

  3. ^^lol :thumbsup:

    Truly amazing drive by Hamilton from the start. Heikki was good but just couldn't control his car well enough. Ferraris will prefer to forget this weekend as a whole and it was quite funny seeing Kimi shaking his head when coming into the pit stop to change all his tires once again and Massa doing doughnuts :surprise:

    Can't wait for the next race.

  4. ^^Remember, it's all show for both Alonso and Renault. Back in Spain, it was for the sake of the Spanish people that Alonso was light fueled and was able to qualify the way he did. Same situation over in France, because it's Renault's territory.

  5. ^^AFAIK LG makes a 24" full 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution) monitor (with VGA,DVI,HDMI ports) BUT it's a TN panel. Last time i checked it was selling for Rs. 24k+taxes.

    360 HD DVD add-on is not available in India at least officially. Check in your local grey mkt shops.

  6. @aashu:

    1)Both are capable of producing 92% color gamut.

    2)IMO the SP2208WFP is an excellent display. I've heard from people using the E2408 saying that it suffers from heavy screen bleeding and has a greyish or blueish tone to it. Mind you the E24 is the entry panel to the 24" range and is a TN panel compared to the US2408 which is an S-PVA panel and costs a bomb.

    @HOglegtrausavo:

    AFAIK there are no monitors below that price which offer 1080p full hd resolution. Full HD monitors cost Rs. 25k + (at least here in India)

  7. Damn the French :(

    They have to completely restructure the whole team from the ground up. They were in their prime in the late 90's and 2000 but since then they've been on a downward trend. My pick in the french team would have to be Rubery..he played his a** off only for that stupid Henry to waste so many golden chances!!!

    The Dutch have really surprised me tho, and the pass leading to Van Persie's goal was amazing :)

    My prediction for tonight's match:

    Sweden 0-2 Spain

    Greece 2-1 Russia

  8. @aashu:

    If you love glossy screens then the SP2208WFP is THE monitor you should look at. I have it and i can barely see any reflections on the screen as it is bright and vibrant with colors.

    1)Yes, for screens < 50" you won't notice a significant difference b/t 720p and 1080p.

    2)Contrast ratio is important as brightness is usually set by default.

    3)depends for what purpose you require the display:

    gaming : <=2ms is ideal

    others : <=5ms

    4)Again, go for the glossy one

    5)92% color gamut is the ability for monitors to properly display all color variations as accurate as possible.

  9. ^^congrats dude..

    As for the HDMI cable, i'm sure what you have is a 1.3a spec and you won't be needing another cable. But if you have plans to buy a 2nd cable, it'll cost you anywhere between Rs. 800-900.

    Don't go for the fancy ones with gold plated BS.
