PlayStation vs Xbox vs Nintendo thread

PS5 being only 10cm thick means it fits perfectly under my TV with an inch of clearance on top. -

I never bought one at launch but always within first 6 months. Except PS1 (bought in 1999) because I was a Sega fanboy . I feel like the summer of next year is good time to buy it, you're neither too early nor too late.

Yeah I'm going by the trailers they released. Both of them couldn't hold 30fps. -

They cancelled the last gen version because they had trouble dumbing it down from next-gen. Even on PS5 it drops frames below 30fps. This could be the litmus test for XSS. -

Wonder what will happen to XSS version of DMCV SE. If it'll download a low spec version using intelligent delivery or no version at all (since Capcom didn't mention it). -
If you had a working GC and certain games you could easily fund 10 PS5s with them.

Out of the console split, Capcom sells like 10% of their total games on Xbox, 60% on PS4 and 30% on Switch. Plus DMCV is already on GP so people will just wait for SE to show up on GP as well. So why bother putting in the efforts at launch? -

But Dusk said Capcom is having trouble with RE engine on PS5... -
The onboard storage is soldered on the motherboard. 12x 64GB NAND chips, non-replaceable. Gotta wait for the teardown to see how you add 2nd SSD. The new Samsung 980 Pro is supposedly PS5 ready, but its not yet out, and leaked price suggests $250 for 1TB (cheaper than everyone thought).

It was posted on Sony website on Wednesday.

I mean the whole argument would be moot if they just included play-n-charge kit in the box. But nope, gotta nickel n dime the user. The SN30 Pro+ comes with more tech packed in it (motion control, macros, trigger locking), comes with play and charge kit with a battery compartment that can also charge your own batteries and costs fking $50.
-
They already did with Elite controller v2. Bots don't complain about it.
-
Supposedly because external batteries last way longer....until you realize that Switch Pro controller lasts for 40+ hours and WiiU Pro controller lasts for 60+ hours. Switch one even takes like an hour or two to fully charge thanks to USB-C power delivery.

If patching is that easy I hope they get behind 3rd parties and start patching them for XSS. Because without the unlock patch the games are still stuck at hard cap on resolution/fps. -
Only MS can spin the fact that they haven't done jackshit to improve the controller as consumer friendly
-
They gave 2 days notice because pre-orders were suppose to go live on 18th. Its not their fault when retailers decided to jump the gun. The orders on Sony's own store went perfectly fine (besides the queue). MS is now threatening retailers who break the date with retaliation.
-
Yeah MM and Horizon might look better than Halo Infinite but make no mistake, they're being held back by current gen tech in terms of AI, gameplay, level design etc. The same rule applies to everyone. Sony 1st party isn't going to pull a rabbit out of a hat.
-
We'll see when pre-orders go live on 22nd. PS5 digital is already massively outpaced by big boy PS5, lets see if XSS breaks the trend of cutdown models flopping.

Demon Souls already out of stock even at Sony site

For US.

The queue is up on Sony site for people who got the email invite.
