    Only 9.5 for the graphics? Modern warfare is still the king of the hill I guess. Never change, IGN. :lol:

     

    kz2 got a 9.5 as well.. so mw2 looks better than kz2 and gow3 :bigyellowgrin:

     

    What's funny is that IGN's PS3 team rarely reviews a high profile multi-platform title like GTA4, CoD, BFBC etc. Its always someone from PC/360 team.

    8.5 Presentation

    The story is far from perfect, but huge props to Sony Santa Monica for once again including a ton of bonus content.

     

    9.5 Graphics

    It is at times the best-looking game ever, but not all assets were created equal. Still, you will be floored.

     

    9.0 Sound

    Fantastic soundtrack and great effects. Some of the voice work could be better, however.

     

    9.5 Gameplay

    The combat is nearly perfect, the scale is mind-boggling, and the brutality is rewarding. It's more of the same, but that's not too much of a complaint.

     

    8.0 Lasting Appeal

    It won't take much more than about 10 hours one time through, but collectables can bring you back, not to mention the Challenge rooms and Arena Battles.

     

    9.3 OVERALL

    ^Lol I was about to post almost same config. Yeah I've finally decided to build a PC, primarily for gaming but also for watching/encoding h.264 videos. Budgets is between 50 and 60k without monitor. I've narrowed it down to following components..

     

    CPU - Intel i5-750 - 10k

    Mobo - Gigabyte GA P55 US3L - 7k

    GPU - Saphire HD5850 - 16k

    Ram - Corsair DDR3 1333mhz 2x2GB - 6k

    HDD - Seagate 1TB - 4.5k (I already have one Hitachi 1TB)

    DVD - LG DVDR - 1.2k

    PSU - Corsair VX550W - 5k

    Cabinet - Antec 300 - 4k

     

    Total aprx 54k. :)

     

    Also going for 24" monitor, either from Dell or BenQ.

    How many options do u think they really have? They have been knit together by 2 facts:

     

    1. They are sony's first party studios.

    2. There is nowhere else they would turn to....ps3, as the old saying goes, is complex....These guys are oozing the last pixel while the other 3rd party devs (barring kojima prodn.) are actually struggling to some extent....

    Freedom of creativity, thats the most they care about, not just funding or marketing or security. Thats why they don't quit two days after the launch of their biggest title, or play the game of 'you fire me, I sue you'

    Just stay away from the damn GoW3 media, its not like the game is coming out next year, or next month. Go play some Sonic games meanwhile, you'll appreciate a good game even more after that B)
