    Nah, I've seen way too much. The first and last hour of GoW games are the finest, don't want to ruin it for nothing.

    I just watched it for 2 sec, got a glimpse of towering first boss raging over tiny figure of Kratos, and immediately closed the window :unsure:

    looking at those pics ....This game deserves a Full HDTV...its a shame to play this game on SDTV. :thumbsup:

     

    Now is the perfect time to get a good full hd monitor. :thumbsup:

    The perfect time was when UC2 came out, now it is overdue.

    U name me more than 3 SP only games that r epic with story below 5-8 or even 10 hrs( No multiplayer/Co-Op)

    MGS1, MGS2, GoW1, GoW2, RE all except 4, Silent hill 1,2, Ico, to name a few.

     

    Agreed with KC, for eg IW could've easily made MW2 8-9 hours long, just add few room clearing mission like CoD3, few breach n clear's for an hour, couple of tank driving snorfests like CoD5 and you're done. That could've shut up a lot of naysayers, but instead they delivered an SP campaign that doesn't have a single dull moment. Thats why when you finish it, you immediately want to start over again on higher difficulty.

    Both totally different games, MAG puts so much emphasis on teamplay that lonewolf type players (like snipers) hate it immediately. And you've to accept the fact that you're totally insignificant to the entire battle, you alone can't affect the outcome of the match, no matter how good you are. Thats two reasons (besides zero aim assist) why people stop playing it after a while.

    Oh cmon!! You can't really compare those two, they are on different platforms or are of different genres FFS. This way even K2 went up against halo wars, uncharted 2 released close to ODST and gow 3 is releasing a week after FF13, a bigger franchisee compared to GOW. And if you leave the announcement CG trailer at E3 05, where even Resistance (I-8) was shown. Killzone was shown just once after that at E3 07, resistance 2 was demo'ed at E3 08.

    They don't have to be from same genre to steal each other's spotlight, most games that got pushed to 2010 because of MW2 aren't FPS, heck many aren't even shooters. And the way their games are under appreciated, I genuinely wish they go multiplatform, that way they'll at least get the attention they deserve.

     

    Oh and for me, R&C >>> Resistance, sorry if I didn't make it clear before :) Now back to topic...

    dude, no. JUST NO. Sony gave Insomniac the better (holiday) slot for R2, they could have easily given it to Killzone 2, they didn't. E3 had a massive onstage presentation of R2, nothing for Killzone 2. R2 had a viral marketing campaign for 6 months followed by good advertising. What did K2 get? R2 got an exclusive GI blowout and had GTTV shows and it even had a limited edition of the game. Zilch for Killzone.

    Both R2 and Gears 2 released in the same week imo, thats the worst spot to release any game. R2 had good marketing but compared to Gears it was not even on the same planet. Its like releasing something within 10 days of MW2, which, umm, they did again with ACiT. Its like they purposely send Ratchet games to die and then cry about its sales figures.

     

    Plus Insomniac only gets one chance per game at E3 because they churn out games at crazy speed, how many times has KZ2 been shown at E3 between 2005 and 2008?

    No, they don't. Insomniac have contributed greatly to both Sony worldwide studios and have helped with many ps3 projects including GOW3. they also regularly churned out high quality titles when the ps3 had no games & when the other studio's were trying 1up each other with their graphics. As a community centric studio I'm sure Insomniac are just as disappointed with the lack of polish in R2 as the general audience & I am sure they'll take no half measures with R3.

    Yeah but I was pointing towards how Sony WW treats Insomniac studio. Shuffling their release dates to make space for their own games, not doing enough publicity like they do for their first party titles, no GTTV/IGN/OPM blowout, not enough bundles. R&C was one of the biggest PS2 franchises and now it is called niche and sleeper hit :giggle:

    Hades blade moves on its own.

    Yeah there was one scene where his blades moved around the room in tiny circle, killing everyone. Good to see there are other chain-based weapons in GoW3 that you'd actually want to use. The gloves were a bit slower imo.
