Its not that BOM anymore, which is why I said they started making profit this year, not at launch. Just read the post man, its only 5 lines long. I can see why the conversation between you guys and Ank can stretch out over dozens of pages About DE, the sales split suggests they only made 10-15% of DE versions, not 50-50 like SX-SS. All this info is detailed in their quarterly report and the Era thread about it. This is why its great when company doesn't hide its numbers, so we know the stuff for sure. Edit: wait, how is the gap of 470 to 500 and 520 to 500, 15-20%? At max its +7.5% and at lowest its -4%. I'm no CA and I just did visual math, so maybe I'm wrong? -

Its mostly APU that is affected by chip shortages. And SS only has like 16 CUs vs 52 in SX, its a tiny chip. And they can use discarded wafers from SX to make SS APU. -

Oh you know about console makers selling at loss? That's amazing. Sony doesn't do that anymore. Not after losing $250 per unit on PS3 and flushing away their entire PS2 gen profit in 2 years f PS3. Their policy is to break even as soon as possible. PS4 was $20 loss, the Pro was profit from get go and PS5 BOM is between $470 to $520, and they started making profit this year. They also have a last gen console that is still in demand even at same price from 2016, making another loss leader SKU would've been idiotic at best. If anything, I bet MS wishes they had a $400 diskless SX. Would've been a bomb once they figured out manufacturing shortages. -

Sony wishing they had another SKU where they lost money besides the DE? Instead of just selling PS4s where they make $100+ profit per unit? You guys are amazing analysts -
Sucks that we don't have decent UW monitors available here, one that ticks all the boxes. Like this one for eg. Meanwhile you get some incredible monitors in 16:9 aspect ratio.

Yeah UW doesn't crop stuff lol, it adds more stuff to left and right. Unless you intentionally go in settings and drop the FoV to 80 something.

Starfield isn't getting delayed. BGS has never delayed games for insignificant things like bugs or polish or unfinished content. Redfall might slip from summer to fall though. -

Its always homerun for MS during last 3 months of the year, and therefore the entire year. They know gamers and journalists have a memory of the hamster. -

Yeah must be because of crossplay. -

I remember playing UT3 on PS3 against PC players on controller only servers. sh*t felt like magic when playing against completely different platform back them. XBL had of course blocked crossplay in UT3 citing "security reasons". -

The sports games are all native 4K/60. TLoU remaster is also native 4K in 30fps mode.

1 million more than usual, a drop in the bucket compared to what they usually sell. Plus the console is in solid demand going by the used prices.

They don't even give GP numbers like they used to frequently during 2019-20. Last update was more than a year ago. Just forget about getting numbers from MS, most you'll get is "fastest" and "biggest" and "most successful". -

Warzone probably has way more players than Halo, but the forced crossplay has been an issue on Xbox for years. At least Warzone splits players based on input method. -
