GP and Steam both are early access, but GP is two versions behind, doesn't have crossplay and runs worse at least on PC. I got it on Steam because updates and hotfixes are also rapidly deployed.

Day 1 PC release is not irrelevant. Main reason I don't have (or want) an Xbox is because I can play all their games day 1 on my laptop, and way better than console versions (lol 30fps Starfield). If Sony did the same I'll basically ditch home consoles and carry my laptop and Switch everywhere.
