’Missed the mark’ this statement alone shows they were infact testing out how much they can extort money from their loyal fans. And as a business point of view it makes sense because these FANS already made GOT DC a success! People already paid 30 dollars for that upgrade, dlc value 20 dollars aside, they paid 10 dollars extra for basically no meaningful upgrade.
once you see the 10 dollars value of Death Stranding DC and what you are getting for that, Sony’s 10 dollar for Ps5 tax seems UNFAIR and WRONG!

Yeah the upgrade path makes this obsolete, so think of it as you get free PS4 copy when you buy deluxe PS5 version. Some people might want the deluxe goodies.

I mean look at IVG, the news added 20 pages across 3 threads in a day. Even people with zero interest in the game are tripping over each other to give out their takes. This is a goldmine of user engagement, you wont find this with Judgment or Battlefield. No one will waste their tweets or articles on that.

I already said, nobody gives a sh*t because it doesn't bring the traffic and clicks like PS5 news does. How many people actually know that Sega pulled the same sh*t with Judgment and made you pay twice if you wanted next-gen version? Or Capcom did the same with DMC5 SE? Nobody cares because its small time compared to Sony fking it up.
