Desi birds with no outside contact catch bird flu ?
I am not sure.
Also, there was no flu in that time.
Are you for real? There was no flu yet the birds just dropped dead?
And you are bringing in desi birds really? This is the equivalent of saying that only westerners catch corona and Indians have high immunity so they won't catch it.
Anyway I pray for humanity. Hope better sense prevails when you encounter something similar in future.
A guy had infected pig in Mexico and people got f**kedin 2009 and another guy had bats at different places in the world and people got f**ked even harder.

But when a few started dying on their own due to some unknown reason.
There you have it, that's how a pandemic starts.
Never eat birds like that and most likely those birds died due to bird flu. Consumption or contact with such birds is harmful.
Even if you have eaten the birds that survived you have taken a big risk and put yourselves and those around you at risk. If a human being catches bird flu the survival rate is only 20 to 25 %.

Our local cold storage.
What is that exactly? Is it some place to get cold cuts where they hang and keep stuff?

Never knew about this. If there is a trusted butcher or something, get it from there. If it puts you at ease, my family has been eating pork for decades without any issues, though we don't eat very frequently. Maybe once every few months.
Where do you buy from?

covid 21 says hi!

Safe to say that the new animal won't be bats for sure.

Just buy your pork from some cold storage shop, there are farms here that raise those pink pigs specifically for slaughter( the wild desi ones are black and have lots of hair )
If you are using the fat tho you need some heavy masala to "cut" the fat.
if you are not using the fat in the dish itself you can use the fat to fry other items, in Mexico they use this method a lot.
If you remove the fat you can cook the meat in any way.
I have thought about buying prasuma stuff but nah man. Too risky. I don't even buy imported stuff knowing about the standards here.

Pork is definitely no-no in India.
Yeah man. Saw a big a*s white pig being caught and loaded onto a tempo just before I got fined for not wearing mask the other day (mentioned in the Covid thread) forgot all about that scene as I was stopped and fined like a min later
That pig was so huge that at some point you could call it a white buffalo.
And this is happening in Pimpri Chinchwad which is one of the cleanest places.

why?
I have seen too many cases of people catching stray pigs and loading them onto vehicles. They are the cheapest meat to procure. Self sustaining and gets fat even after eating garbage.
1 hour ago, Banz said:I'm assuming you're scared of pork because of tapeworms? It is not a problem if you fully cook the meat. Beef can also carry tapeworms.
There are many more animals we can eat, but they're less common and difficult to obtain. You could try rabbits, ducks, wild boars (hunting them is illegal), quail (लावरी), eggs of different birds, including crow. With fish and other seafood, you have more options than all the land animals put together. There's a fisherwoman here in Dombivli who sometimes even sells rays and sharks.
Yeah I was thinking about getting rabbit too. Don't like quails and stuff and frankly no birds. Maybe game meat is what I crave.
Seafood is the same man apart from texture the general taste is the same.

Bro matlab tindey hi bol deta. seedhe tofu pe le aya yeh toh ??

We need a new animal to eat man. Bored of chicken, mutton and fish. Scared to eat pork in India and don't like beef.

My sincere condolences.
diebetes is a really bad disease to have it affects all your organs over the period of time...very bad comorbid in covid times. Both the vaccine are very effective >90% effectiveness, but the distribution will be really a PITA because of extreme low temps required. I don't think either of them are suitable to be distributed beyond a few cities .
Moderna vaccine can be stored in fridge temperature for upto 30 days.
"A key advantage of Moderna's vaccine is that it does not need ultra-cold storage like Pfizer's, making it easier to distribute. Moderna expects it to be stable at normal fridge temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (36 to 48°F) for 30 days and it can be stored for up to 6 months at -20C."

I'm still holding out for a proper legends mode session. Need 4 players. Randos leave midway.
I have already asked this but just to be sure. Do I require PS+ I am interested in joining that team?

The game is great. I have at times reached the very end of my health bar with the character's death just a sneeze away and turned the game around. IMHO this game shows how side quests should be done. Not just a sloppy fetch and kill stuff but a mini story line itself and I am concentrating on the side quests more than the actual story line. Couldn't have got this at a better time as i was in need of a distraction. Kudos to sucker punch.

Mandatory wearing masks inside private vehicles with windows closed is the most stupid thing the police is doing right now
I am sitting with the same ppl in my private indoor spaces aswell
no one has any real clue what to do so they are just doing what can be done
makes sense or not doesn’t even matter anymore
49 minutes ago, Banz said:The masks inside cars rule is completely stupid. This is what happens when babus and netas with no knowledge of medicine or fluid dynamics get to make the rules.
If you roll the windows up (which everyone does), you already have a much more effective bubble than a mask.I was fined by the traffic police. They were letting off people with tinted windows. And catching people without masks inside car. It is a stupid rule but I couldn't really argue. At least all my smug family members and I would make it a point to wear at least a surgical mask and travel in the car.
-
I probably have 50 masks in my car yet I had to shell out 500 rs in fine today. I wasn't wearing a mask in my car and my dad was in the car with me. Thankfully he was wearing one and we didn't end up paying 1000 rs.
The fine is stupid if I am in the car with a family member. But what can be done. Rules are rules.
Whole family is smug that of all the people I am the one who got caught mask less after all the hype I created at home about not going out at all and getting everything home delivered even now.

Yes, must be rtpcr that is 1600,
Called one and got a call from 3 different labs with different rates from 1600 to 2200.
One lab says our quality is better.
So 600 won't show current ?
And is useless for current ?
For current always get RT PCR.

Which test is better : one is 600 rs and one is 1600 rs ?
Extra 1000 for what better ?
1000 is named some itcbr or itbcr ?
There are two tests
Rapid antigen test that would show whether you have Covid antibodies. A positive RAT means you have been infected sometime in the past. This one would be the 600 rs test.
RT PCR is the test to check if you have Covid at present. This would be the 1600 rs one.

Bro samurai is the right way to play the game you'll see. It's a lot cooler than stealth.
That's what. Having honor is difficult and stealth makes this game extremely easy and takes all the fun out. Will try the samurai way more.
-
Got the game. It is great so far. I realise that I am no samurai and most of the times not even worthy to be a geisha. It is very easy on stealth and it is when you start having some honor like a samurai you lose it faster than a geisha.

So. Funcorp.in is legit? They will deliver? Any experience?

is funcorp.in a legit site? ordered a toy as a diwali gift on cod. they are on amazon as well but the price on their site is much lower and i really want to gift that toy to my nephew even if i have to pay 500 rs extra.
cant do a dummy order on amazon as I find it unethical to make a business lose money on shipping and returns just due to my insecurity.

Everyone in this thread who helped us make a decision to buy the Motorola 55 inch 4k led. A big thank you to you all. The tv is great. The picture quality while watching Tata Sky HD and OTT stuff is great. We saved a lot as the nearest best tv of sony was double the price.

I have ordered Ghost of Tsushima. Will take my PS4 to sister's place to check how great it looks vs my 6 yr old sony tv.

It's not compared to the actual spike. No one cares. Then there's lockdown happening outside and when people mention it here, people suddenly become all economic gurus.
Well sadly like the Americans and Europeans we can't just print more money. One lockdown was disastrous another one would just kill everyone. So yeah the spike is there but the fear ain't no more.
Talking about keyboard warriors. My very close friend who did a MBA from Paris and was doing really well in an Indian internet tech company left India last year to start a food startup in Oz which was again a hit. He had returned in Jan for some Visa related work and was here till March and couldn't return to Oz obviously. Now he can't go back and is jobless. So what he does? Applies for min two jobs a day and sits and curses modi at every opportunity as he is unemployed. It has become his favourite pass time to go on social media and trash modi and meet me once a week and again trashes modi but while being drunk.
So you can't deal with keyboard warriors. You simply don't know their motivation

I don't even reply to their bait. I just make my point and move on.

You can try try Ayurvedic-home remedy, its a sureshot cure for knee/joints or any muscular pain.
Home made lotion of Gwarpatha (desi variety of Aloe Vera) heated up and mixed with Haldi
My condition is chronic. Does this help with that? And is this a balm or to be consumed?

You can make the concoction at home yourself.
We make kadha - ginger, pepper, turmeric and some other spices (mom makes it) - slightly roasted and made into powder. A pinch of it boiled with cup of water twice a day is a potent immune booster and decreases inflammation. The quantity is higher than what these tablets provide (which don't have a well studied rationale tbh).
Also try dried methi + ajwain (mildly roasted and grinded) and flax seeds. Work wonders.
Ah well. I tried doing all that. But the capsule seems to be working so I stuck to it. Airthritis is literally a pain to have. I also started after I read a NCBI clinical study on turmeric. Apparently grape compound resveratrol + curcumin (turmeric) is as good as any Nsaid.
